This part makes me so happy-- it's like looking at Kubo and saying "Oh no he didn't!" Hiyori annoys me so fucking much... she has heart, but she's annoying and doesn't know her place at all.

I don't think we're supposed to know for sure at this point. I had thought it was going to mean he would be fighting Ichigo again to reclaim his pride, then he just ran away. So who knows...

Not sure how I felt about this latest anime episode. Byakuya as a "villain" just didn't seem to fit right with me. We've been through all this, seen Ichigo beat him to open his eyes, etc.

And how exactly is this all gonna play out?
I always wanted to be a rebel, but stifled that desire to follow the rules like a good noble. This rebellion showed me that breaking the rules is so much fun.

Cut to end of the arc...
Good thing Ichigo was around to open my eyes to following the rules again cause if this rebellion had happened during any other era when he wasn't around, these zanpakutos and I would 've destroyed all of Soul Society. Oh, and just ignore all the nameless people who died cause of my betrayal, althought the Commander always says he has no tolerance for traitors, he was sealed up and didn't see this, so you can ignore it now that this whole affair is over.

My money is on Muramasa was Hisana's (Rukia's sister, Byakuya's wife) zanpakuto. Only thing against that possibility was they never said she was a Shinigami, but they never said she wasn't.

Muramasa said he killed his owner, so I doubt that was Hisana. Plus, this rebellion probably would have happened a long time ago if that was the case. Hisana died years before the main storyline I think. Plus, if he killed Hisana, Byakuya would be fucking his shit up.

Even if he hadn't killed his owner, Hisana would still not make any sense. Muramasa refers to Byakuya as "Shinigami" and acts as if he's never seen him before and this is the first time they're talking to each other. If he belonged to anyone in Byakuya's family, he would obviously recognize him and act differently.

There's probably some other motive Byakuya has for protecting muramasa that has nothing to do with whose zanpakutou he is.

it's simple. Because byakuya is going to betray muramasa but first he hasta betray soul society and gain muramasas trust. hurrdurrprppp. If I'm right kubo is the best writer ever.

Hirako: “Fool. I’m talking to you. Loosen your grip, Hiyori”

Aizen: “As expected, profound words of sympathy, Captain Hirako.”

Hiyori makes an irritated face.

Hirako: “Hiyori!”

Aizen: “‘But saying that it’ll be over if you approach. Don’t try to be funny. Approaching carelessly or cautiously, or even not at all, the conclusion will be the same. I’m not creating your future story.

It’s already too late for you to escape your demise because of the facts from the past.”

Love and Rose are irritated too.

Hirako: “He’s trying to provoke you! Don’t give in!!”

Aizen: “Is there something you’re afraid of?

Even though on that night a hundred years ago all of you died already.”

Gin: “The customer is finished.” [TN: Gin literally says "one person is finished," but he talks like he's a
restaurant worker and Hiyori is the customer. Gin speaks in Kansai dialect and characters who speak
that dialect are often portrayed as shopkeepers, so this may be Kubo's way of poking fun at that stereotype.]

Hirako: “Hiyorii!!!”

He rushes over and holds her upper body.

Hiyori, with faith breath:

“I’m sorry…Shinji…I couldn’t stand it…”

Hirako is shocked.

Hirako: “Hacchi!!!”

He notices that Hacchi can’t use his right arm.

He remembers Orihime.

Hirako: “That’s right…with Orihime-chan’s ability we can still cure you…! Ichigo!!! Ichigo still hasn’t returned…? Ichigo!!!”
