I lol'd when i saw that because all it does is remind me of the "o shit behind you" thing which ended up with urahara being attacked by urahara. Being attacked by your own legs just takes it one step further

Third Bleach movie was alright, I guess. Story was bleh, but I wasn't really expecting that to be any good. Animation was really good, and Evil Rukia and Kenpachi were awesome, but when isn't Kenpachi awesome? Female bad guy was extremely annoying, was glad to see her go.

I thought story wasn't bad though it wasn't amazing either, it was better than the first movie overall if you ask me, though I haven't gotten around to watching the second one yet, so can't compare to that.

Wasn't that first time we've seen Kisuke get more serious than just his normal shikai? When he used "Rend it Asunder", Benihime that is. I am guessing second technique, not bankai.

only time weve seen kisuke use any abilities, has been when 1st training ichigo, he used that shield thing, and second time i believe was when he 1st fought yammi. he shot that reab beam thingy.
only question is is if the attack was canon or not.
and yes, that was not his bankai.

Awesome chapter. Wonder if it means we're going back to HM to finish up the story there now.

Random observations about the movie:

-When I first saw Urahara in SS I was a little irked that, even though it's a non-canon movie, they glanced over the whole "Urahara is banned from SS" thing. Then later they at least acknowledged it with a "I always knew how to get back" line which worked for me.

-While the main female villian's voice and personality were annoying, I was swayed to her cause by her lack of pants.

-Seeing Urahara in action was pretty cool, though it felt a little odd with the amount of dialog he had. I'm just used to his quick and cryptic explanations I guess.

-Rukia, as usual, is useless and hopeless. However, the merged dark Rukia did look pretty cool

-Unsure why, while looking for Rukia, Byakuya would tell Ichigo where Hisana was born, as though it were obvious that's where Rukia would be for some reason.

-Interesting new way to use Senbonzakura with the whole creating a tunnel thing.

-Zaraki.

-Soifon is as useless as ever, twice as useless while oogling over her Yourichi-sama

-Yami-Jii again proves to be the most incompetent leader ever. I can't think of a single situation in Bleach where he didn't jump to the "capture the traitor" conclusion without even considering why things were happening as they were

-This can be explained away as non-canon stuff, but it's strange they used Rukia giving Ichigo his original Shinigami powers as means for him to still remember her. Those "original" Shinigami powers were severed by Byakuya a long time ago and Urahara's training supposedly brought out Ichigo's own Shinigami powers. So in theory that "link" between Ichigo and Rukia should not have existed anymore. Again, it's obviously just non-canon stuff to make the movie.

-I was a little surprised when Ichigo was trying to explain things to various people that he never brought up Aizen to try and make them remember him. Though I guess that would have brought on a whole new level of inconsistencies.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head right now. I know most of the stuff was already said by others, but felt like randomly throwing my own two cents in on it all to waste an hour of Friday morning work.

Well yeah, most of my plot hole references were just little nit-picks I thought of while watching. The larger plot holes I tend to just pass off as it being a movie. And yeah, I thought about the captain robe thing then figured that's probably what he'd be wearing when not in his gigai in the real world (wait, does he even wear a gigai in the real world? Most people can't see him or his shop anyway so maybe he doesn't...I don't remember now...)

The frame with Shinji holding half of Hiyori's body and the other half being shown on the ground is just amazingly chilling. Kubo did a fucking fantastic job there.

As Gin is the man, that's a damn villain there. Cut Hiyori down and just say "One down" as a cold response. <3
