Rukia thinks of how she's heard from others that his mask would change patterns, but now it looks totally different.
Yammy tells Ichigo that he's the Cero Espada while Ichigo wonders why a hollowfied Getsuga to the neck did barely any damage.
Ichigo tries to put his mask but on but says it feels "heavy" and thinks it might be due to the form he took against Ulqiuorra.
As he says this Yammy grabs him.
Just then, Byakuya then uses Soukatsui on Yammy, and Kenpachi (not seen doing it, just assuming) cuts Yammy's leg.
They stand there as the chapter ends.

You have to remember that this is all taking place in the span of maybe 30-40 minutes from Aizen leaving to the end of Ichigo's battle with Ulquiorra. The tower wasn't exactly a hop-skip and jump away from where Grimmjow and Nel are.

Byakuya and Kenpachi just now arriving isn't far-fetched... although the fact that they're arguing over who got there first is pretty funny (and expected, since they're arguably the strongest captains outside of Yama and Uno/Uki/Shunsui).

The only thing I take issue with:

Kenpachi's probably using both hands to attack now, instead of one handed strikes sense he already had a run in with an espada, and we are yet to see his full strength at this point so it may be possible he's that strong. and you cant really compare Ichi at his strongest to a Kenny that isnt holding back IMO. But if the chapter comes out and he isn't usin both hands, it will be pretty crappy

I've always felt Kenpachi was leagues above Ichigo's strength but limits himself to make fights more enjoyable. My problem isn't that he's stronger than Ichigo. My problem is that Ichigo at his maximum power should be able to do more than just barely scratch Yammy, given that Kenpachi was turned into swiss cheese by Nnoitora (whom Ichigo also had problems with).

If he is using two hands to cut around then that would be great. If he's just swinging wildly and suddenly Yammy's leg comes off, that's just sort of stupid given the circumstances.

Have you forgotten that Kenpachi cut a fucking mountain in half with one arm?

Yeah, and you have to remember, Kenpachi wasn't taking the fight seriously at all, until the last attack. In essence, it only took him 1 swing to defeat nnorita's released form.
