Ichigo shouldn't be able to take out yammy all by himself. Even with Byakuya and Kenpatchi fighting by his side they should have a lot of trouble in this fight. I really hope Nel and GJ come to help to establish themselves as good guys who are fighting on ichigo's side.

Does it sound like Ichigo is beginning to feel sympathy for the Arrancars he is killing? Maybe becoming more hollow in HM is making him feel comradeship with his fellow hollows. Even though they want to destroy each other they have a respect for each other.

I was hoping that Ichigo's hollow would start absorbing Arrancars while in HM but that has yet to happen.

Actually I take back what I thought about Kubo trolling.

Now that we've seen the extended spoilers, I have a huge feeling Ichigo didn't hit Yammi with a max powered Getsuga Tenshou as thought before. The simple fact that he's starting to have doubts about fighting and killing Arrancar as a "Hollow" himself might have taken away a huge chunk of his power, despite having the brand new mask and everything. Even if the others were defeated, Ichi seems to have a certain respect for all of them, which I did find odd after the Grimmy fight.

Also it annoys me that some people seem to believe that once Ichigo seems to surpass a captain in power, that the certain captain's power will forever remain far below Ichigo's like they will never train or experience hardship to get stronger ever again. Obviously they are working hard to get stronger as well. Kenpachi and Byakuya's entrance and Kenpachi's pot-shot at Yammi's leg wasn't very surprising to me.

chapter's out. and it's so much better than the spoilers. Ichigo actually did damage Yammi with the attack, and all the other stuff makes a bit more sense now too

so tired of Ichigo's power being suppressed all the time by this emotional bullshit or whatever it is this time. I swear, this is the only shonen even when the main character has normally always been stronger than his opposition, but due to his own pussy depressed emotions, has limited himself.

Still though, it was a pretty good chapter. This chapter felt a bit longer than a lot of others. If they could all be as well written as this one, instead of retarded chapters like the Chimera one that lasted almost 2 chapters and was literally nothing, I wouldn't have a problem.

Yammy is a lot bigger than I remember, I know it showed him in his released form before, I just didn't realize it was so massive. Good chapter, I'm glad Byakuya and Kenpachi showed up so Ichigo can go cry in a corner for a little while.

I really enjoyed this week's chapter. The pace is good and some of my favorite characters are getting involved once again.

Regarding Ichigo and his power:

There are two things that could be going on here. First, he just got done fighting Ulq and could be slightly fatigued. While that makes some sense, I'm not buying this reason, mostly because he seemed rather confident at first that his power would be more than enough to crush Yammy.

Now my theory is that, as other's have suggested, something else is going on inside Ichigo, possibly another internal conflict with his hollow. Kubo has finally outright stated the mask pattern that we all have been noticing, and not only that, has taken time the last two chapters to note changes in Ichigo's demeanor and also his thoughts regarding his old opponents.

There is no doubt in my mind that his full hollow transformation has completely changed him in some way. I wouldn't be surprised if somehow he can no longer be a Vizard in the traditional sense that we know. The Vizard seem to be able to have their hollow submit to them, much like zanpaktos and bankai, thus stopping a full transformation and only using their masks.

My guess is that Ichigo's hollow took over and he is now having issues fully suppressing it.

Kenpachi saying Byakuya got the 1st hit doesnt mean it was Byakuya who cut off Yammi's leg. The 1st hit was a Kidou attack.

I wonder what's going on with Ichigo's mask though, maybe killing Ulq imparted some of his being into his hollow form and that is why the mask is 'heavier'. Maybe he is just not calibrated to his new mask so he can't whip it out on a whim. This is the first ranked arrancar he's actually killed himself, right so it makes sense we'd start seeing the problems now.

I fucking hate how Yammy is '0' still, feels so fucking retarded. I hope they finish him quickly with the three of them fighting together.

I agree the chapter's pace was much better and actually felt like a manga instead of just a picture book. Hopefully get to see Shirosaki soon for more internal conflict.
