I looked over the last chapter and it was never stated that it was indeed Szayel's. It could be Kubo making us think that to have some strange plot twist in the future be that much wtf. I know I am giving Kubo too much but I would like to think this guy still has an idea what he is doing.

I just remember Mayuri saying that every scientist keeps his lab or main lab or place for experiments fortified or something, then he opened the door with the bodies hanging.

I forgot the term where author's want you to think one way but still leave a chance for it to be something completely different.

All I am saying is that this leads me to think that earlier theory was true with Uraraha and Yoruichi's body. The only other bodies I could think of is Donde and Pesche. This wouldn't be the first place that Ura/Yoru would had a secret lair to test out different things, ie achieving bankai with different means.

I think she was saying vice captain/captain level. I think I've heard people refer to Vice Captains as "Captain-level" before so I wouldn't read anything into it.

I wouldn't look too much into the whole "Captain level" comment, in the army we make similar statements all the time between ranks i.e. Lieutenant Colonel/Colonel.

Anyone else notice the weird artistic style in some moments of the episode?

The anime is definitely looking good, but I'm somewhat skeptical about how they're going to explain Zaraki not being present. I see it being just a giant gimmick to not have him going batshit the whole time.

I don't think I've ever really liked a song by Sunset Swish, but I really liked seeing Byakuya wearing Senbonzakura's mask in the ED (zomg it's gonna give him Vaizard powers, lulz~).

And yes if you're referring to Kira's face looking freakishly weird at times..

As far as the animation it looked good. Every so often they sharpen the anime up during a particularly important section or something like that. Kira's face was fucking awesome.

This weeks episode was fucking awesome. We had;

-Soifon's Zanpaktou literally calling her out on all her bullshit

-Kira vs Kazeshini was awesome
-Wabisuke randomly appearing, tapping the sword, lightly, 4 times, was crazy.
-Kenpachi randomly blowing up a building going "WHATS UP BITCHES"

And of course
-Byakuya beating Renji and his materialized Zabimaru OFFSCREEN. And people try to claim he isn't a jobber <_<

Kenpachi fights Yammy while Byakuya talks to Ichigo. Kenpachi is frustrated that Ichigo won't listen so he goes to attack him when Yammy knocks him away. Mayuri then arrives in a chariot and claims he spent time researching "spoils of war" and discovered how the garganta works and can open one without Urahara. Unohana offers to go with Ichigo and Mayuri opens it at the end of the chapter.

I thought the lighting zanpaktou soi fon was fighting was Iba's, or I am mistaken, though we haven't ever seen Isane's have we?
Also Soi Fon's zanpaktou was Awesome lmao.

The lightning one was Yamamoto's VC's. Although how a Rapier translated to that is beyond me. Isane's released form showed up for about 5 seconds when Ichigo saved Rukia in the Soul Society arc. She, Yamamoto's VC, and Omaeda all released, but Ichigo took them out without even using his sword.
