I looked back, yes they were fighting in HM and it broke into several-page-long-fight about Kenpachi's Shikai. Some things never change :D
People argue about that every other month.
That, and Vasto Lords.
I will settle this, now.
Kenpachi, no. Don't say it's a possibility, just no. Even said in the filler that they're thankful he didn't have one.
Vasto Lorde, gtfo.
Also... 2 fucking years? Good grief, that's insane.
Yea, meanwhile the main story arc in Naruto just wrapped up and the plot is moving along nicely. It almost feels like Bleach is just going to drag on forever without any real progression. It shouldn't take 2 years for them to finally get out of Hueco Mundo when 2 years ago they were just beginning to stare down Aizen.
Hey fuck you buddy, Vastro Lordes were those damn Espada, I take this to my grave.
Spoiler: show
It's worse than you thought.
Ichigo used bankai for the first time over 4 years ago in chapter 162. The manga volume (19) was released in October 2005. The anime episode (58 ) was aired in November 2005.
the manga isn't too bad of a read as is, if you read all the chapters without a week break in between. So if each chapter was 100 pages long and released every week, the pacing would be pretty good.
I made the second post in this thread only a couple of months shy of 3 years ago and that was just kicking off the anime portion of the current arc. ~_~
What a rambling piece of shit it ended up to be. Even though it looks like it may be close to resolution, I'm sure we all know that it's going to go on for months more.
The Soul Society arc was good and paced well. After reading that years ago, I was hoping for the fleshing out of the captains, but that hasn't really happened. Hitsugaya is still a bitch. Byakuya hasn't done anything to advance his character. Kenpachi hasn't advanced. Soi Fon showed her crappy bankai, at least, but no one likes her anyways. Ukitake and Shunsui are still puttering about without showing much of anything, although I'm still holding out hope for them. Most of the lieutenants remain as random characters no one cares about. For awhile, I thought Ikkaku may end up as someone decent, but nope.
Orihime hasn't changed, or well maybe she changed into someone that cries more often. Rukia hasn't done anything. Renji still sucks. Chad is Chad. Ishida has some new toys, but is still a non-player. Even for Shonen, this character development is terrible.
All we have is some vaizards and espada. The espada were initially fun and some had decent character, but weak, and in the end Aizen just killed them all. Woo, master plan. What a twist!
Maybe the next few chapters will make up for years of mediocrity.
Well in this respect obviously it's going to be a semi-good story. The plot only started to cave after Ichigo and company started fighting the Espada and the captains jumped in. Before that it was just a weak ground getting ready to become a sinkhole.
If each chapter had more content than pitch black panels taking up whole pages and the plot was more than two people exchanging looks and going "Do you understand now?" "Yes I understand." "No you don't but you will lol" then the manga would be unmatchable in quality. Kubo's a fantastic artist but a terrible long-term storyteller.
I mean, come on, in his original pitch of Bleach, Orihimme died in the first issue, admitted her love for Ichigo, and Rukia tricks Ichigo into taking her power.
You don't read very well, do you?
Bleach started to go down-hill after the Ichigo/Grimmjow fight. At this point, the pacing of the story as well as character development was still fairly well done. After that though it just seems Kubo has no idea what he's doing besides making up predictable crap week after week.
No he's too busy broing out fantasizing about football bro.
No seriously that guy who quoted you is retarded and I'm not sure if he's agreeing with you or blatently skipped everything you wrote and went to unmatchable quality and was like "! I CAN ARGUE THAT ITS NOT BECAUSE IM SPECIAL AND I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS THAT BLEACH's PLOT IS CURRENTLY LIKE DRAGON BALL Z!"
So after reading the above few posts I decided to add something to my last post.
Every other month or so, the same shit is discussed lol. We've been through all of this, then we've been through it again with newcomers to the thread, then we went through it again randomly... and once more as well.
Lets not go through it any more times please lol. ZOMG KENPACHI'S SHIKAI ZOMG VASTO LORDS ZOMG THIS MANY YEARS SINCE BANKAI/HM/ESPADA/ULQ FIGHT/AIZEN/ORIHIME CAPTURED.
Think we've covered it.
You're right. Let's talk about Aizen and the Worst Villain Ever Conceived award.
Naraku or Aizen? Guy who always runs away or guy who never does anything but trick people?
Please don't spoil Inuyasha I stopped reading the manga and am finishing out the series through The Final Act anime.
Aizen is pretty much up there with David Xanatos from Gargoyles. Just love to hate niggas that win regardless of the heroes progress with open-ended, long and drawn out chess played moves.
In fact: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph.../XanatosGambit (read Aizen's Entry).
