Remember, Tousen's stupid tendency to lecture opponents and be arrogant is what cost him his battle with Kenpachi. He only survived because Koma interfered. Now that he blew it and no one was there to save him, he lectured Komamura and Hisagi intervened on his behalf. Tousen's arrogance was his own undoing. It's a shame he didn't see it coming.

It's fitting that Hisagi kills Tousen. Tousen let his emotions overwhelm him because he could see and he could deliver justice, and he forgot completely about Hisagi because he was too busy gloating over how weak Komamura was. It's not implausible at all. I actually like it.

Tousen acted as if he deplored killing and injustice, and after giving in to his hollow side he was overwhelmed with power, which became his downfall. Hisagi landing the killing blow is poetic and symbolic because of their interactions regarding Hisagi being afraid to fight and wield his sword. Now that his captain is no longer his captain and has become a monster, he has no qualms about jamming his sword through his head (and releasing, holy shit).

It's also poetic that Tousen could never see the world and couldn't even recognize his friend, who was the reason he did all of it in the first place. It's a sad ending and it shows how much he had really fallen.

With regards to Hisagi:

It was very depressing on its own, and I'm amazed the fight ended so quickly (if it's over). So in overall, it's good.

That said, I didnt expect kubo to get ride of him so quickly. He always made it looks like he had some other plan...but it never happened (ie: scenes with wonderweiss)

Oh well, we all know he is comming back next chapter on berserk mode. He has a super regen afterall.

Liked the design of the transformation though I didn't see tousen as much of a fly type of guy. I feel conflicted with this chapter the kill was satisfying and was actually done quickly for once but maybe it was to quick and the fact that he was killed by a vc even though he should have been much stronger then a captain feels wrong.

Kubo is probably getting ready to start a new arc and bring in the new enemy's.

But it doesn't seem that surprising to take out tousen so fast. kubo made it look like the top 3 espada were going to take a long time to go down, then after that besides barragan, Hali and starrk wen't down in no time.

Hisagi is stronger than most VC, and he stabbed him in the head from behind. Tousen was probably emotional unstable at that time, making him even more vulnerable.

Most fight end in a competition of pure strength, but I didnt feel too out of place. It doesnt always have to end this way.


But yeah...its not over. I hope it is, but I doubt so.

I think it's safe to say that Tousen's done for. He had his head pierced. That for hollows = instant death.

Also, keep in mind he had a good relationship with Wonderwice. That means with him gone, WW is going to be pissed.
