I don't think Aizen will outlive this arc. Gin will betray him, and we will learn he was working for the king all along. Thats where the new set of numbered people come in.

ichigo's hollow = vasto lorde
tousen's = whatever the class below is.

only reason i say that is 1, the power differences, 2, ichigo remains somewhat humanoid, whereas tousen was far into bug country.

And then after four more years of flashbacks and glacially paced filler arcs about tertiary characters and their motivations, Aizen and Gin will appear out of another vaginal maw in the sky and say 'WELL WELL WELL IF IT ISN'T MORE SHINIGAMI TO FIGHT HAVE AT THEE!'

I know it won't, but this series just needs to conclude with this arc. Pretty much the highest tier of characters have now been engaged in battle. And while arguably Aizen could go and introduce a new set of minions (were they vaste lordes, weren't they...), the good guys don't really have that. Save for pulling a "we're the vaizards from 200 years ago who were banished and so only Yamamoto knows about us, Aizen was only a 3rd seat but had a hand is shaping us, and we've spent these 200 years developing Ichigo-esque powers! Good day to you sir" I just don't see how they can have battles. Even the zero squad or whatever should in theory be weaker than the Vaizards. The whole 'forbidden power' thing versus being promoted from captain; and if they were so strong, why wouldn't Aizen go for their power instead of hollowfication?

The existence of Gin most likely implies there was Vizard around for a bit. When you take into account the king dimension's ichigo's dad, urahara, zero squad, it's obvious there will be one more (hopefuly one last) arc.

as far as there being no more stronger people;
we still havnt seen Yamamoto, shunsui, ukitake or unohana fight full strength.
We have not seen Isshin and Ishida's dad fight either.
nor Urahara or his mustached muscle man, who, just incase you forgot, was the captain of the Kido Corps, while fat pink guy was just the VC.
Grimmjaw's still alive assumably. people are still revived or brought back when theyve been shown killed. Grimmjaw wasnt shown killed, so he's obviously still alive. He'll become Vegeta.
We'll see if Orihime brings back Ulquiorra... That's the only reason I can think of as to why Kubo did his death that way...

and off topic, since I mentioned Isshin, I said it a long ass time ago, but I still believe it and you will all owe me many cupcakes when I am right!
