    Byakuya used it as his last ditch effort against Ichigo in the Soul Society arc. Ichigo won and he conceded defeated. He said something like he's only used it against one other opponent prior to Ichigo or something, something we'll probably never learn about.

    Also, wow at a well animated fight that didn't involve Ichigo -- I'm impressed.

    the thing he "only used once before" was his bankai's true form.
    there wasn't ever really an explanation as to what the white imperial thingy was. Thefiller made it sound like an ability he might only be able to use when his bankai was in that form, but as for canon, idk.

    As far as canon goes, Byakuya used the move in his fight against Ichigo, but never mentioned whether anyone else had ever seen it or not. He just said they'd end the fight with the next strike, activated it, and Ichigo said it was amazing and they charged each other.

    Once the real fighting happened I thought it was a good fight, but I was quickly getting fed up with

    felt more like a Pokemon battle at that point rather than a fight of skill.

    Same, loved the weapon clashing portion though. This episode, as well as Hisagi's zanpaktou release episode, have had amazing animation. Wish all the episodes were like that.

    Pretty sure the name of his attack has final attack in it somewhere. Your assumption is valid but no, I didn't think it's over as it clearly shows it's not in the previews. They just always do that

    Be neat if he used that attack shunpo'd behind his opponent and then was like 'SUP STABT!' or something not so cliche.

    Muramasa becomes unbalanced due to the hollows he's absorbed and after Koga is defeated he turns into a psychotic arrancar-thingy. Ichigo comes to fight Muramasa and to save the day.

    i think kaoken w/e it was called was a double edge sword, (As in it harmed you in the process also). So after SSJ9000 , stop using it i guess?

    Always thought Kaoken while in SSJ would amplify his power times like a gokrillion but he never used it.
