They were both funnier animated, but there was too much of them in the anime (to fill time I guess). Sort of a double edged sword.

I know I'm a little late on this, but I liked the chapter this week. We need more Shunsui action. And yeah, where are Yamamoto, his VC and Gin? They're the only ones who don't have major injuries and unaccounted for.

I almost pissed myself laughing when I saw that animated. I enjoyed Pesche in the Japanese version a lot more. He sounded like a guy trying to sound like the Fonz in the dub. As far as Yammas VC....he's still knocked out from Ichigo giving him a tiger uppercut, they only let him open the shield in FKT to let the vizards in.

So now that the Zanpaktou arc has gone out rather blandly, a quick question -- did they ever address how the Zanpaktou not killed by their masters came back? I was fine with Rukia's since it had the ability (although they didn't go to that), but how bout all the others that Zaraki killed? >.>;
