The Amagai arc wasn't too bad near the end, but overall not great filler compared to the Bount arc.

Finished watching this weeks episode, wasn't too terrible actually. Was really digging Ichigo's moves when he was letting Zangetsu guide him. He actually kinda showed that he can, you know, do more than the sword than take big swings and scream "GETSUGA TENSHOU". Overall I liked this filler, kinda suffered like the Bount arc in that it starts kinda slow then midway it revs up and you get pulled in, and you get some pretty cool fights like Byakuya vs Kouga. The next one looks...yea I'll just give it the benefit of the doubt.

Bount arc was terrible, went on for way too long (wasn't it like over a year?), and the animation was painful. The Amagai arc would have been somewhat ok had it not been for the annoying girl and her bodyguards. Honestly, as bad as this arc deteriorated, it probably was the best filler in my opinion..

The Bount arc was god-awful, but nothing is worse than the years of Naruto filler with random storys every 2 weeks.

Number one reason I don't watch Naruto anime anymore. Only recently just tuned in to watch the Pain/Jiraya, Sasuke/Itachi fights. Bount arc was horrible, but it was nowhere near Naruto filler horrible.

i was really hoping at the end zangetsu would get his ass out there and fight for at least a bit, but oh no. and wtf happened to zaraki? You can't tell me tengen survived his fight with him.

Zaraki let Tengen go so that he could get stronger and prove a better challenge to him.

That's just the kind of guy he is.

It was actually a pretty interesting chapter even if nothing *really* happened.

so, how many good guys left now?

like 6 or 7?

the vaizards are pretty lackluster... little disappointing but ah well.

Gin can talk that good shit about Aizen; Most we've ever seen him talk in this series. And now we know there are people out there that can resist Aizen's Shikai, potentially making for more enemies after him.

I believe what he's sayingis, if all Aizen had was the power of his zanpaktou, if Aizen tried to rise to power, people would resist him a lot more, and try to stop him.
=/= people are able to resist his zanpaktou's ability.
Gin's little speech seemed a bit out of character to me. Though I guess I can't really say "out of character" when we don't really know what his character is lol

Gin talking reminded me of a main villain talking about a subordinate, further reinforcing my theory Gin is the true bad guy!

This chapter could have been good... but people were getting taken out left and right without utilizing their full power (actually just the Vaizard). I mean seriously.. fighting a guy who's freakishly powerful, blocked/evaded the first string of attacks, and is probably the biggest threat Soul Society has ever seen.. and they still don't put on their masks/use bankai? We're so far past the point where the stupidity of these characters is feasible >.>;

Yes, because we really need 2-3 chapters for each character to unleash their "true powah." Screw that, I'm glad they got taken out quickly.

The Vaizards seem to be mostly lacking common sense except for Kensei. Hell I mean even Ichigo who KNEW he had to go all out on the first strike held back for no reason at all...

I swear to God. It's probably going to be written off that they used all of their mask power in the initial display of force when they entered the battle.

I enjoyed seeing that useless dog soldier get beat down again. Hopefully he'll die and make room for a more interesting lieutenant, if there is one. Maybe Hisagi, I don't know. I'm sure we'd end up with someone equally useless, yet more annoying like Matsumodo though.
