No, I'm pretty sure that's all that he has said about things.

What this does though is allow for there to be far more great beings out there. People were going under the assumption that Yamamoto was a huge dog and he is and all, but there are now 29 previous captain commanders that could have "fallen" and become high ranking hollows and shit. Plenty of history to throw in new random enemies as needed to keep the series alive for far too long.

Well, we already know there is some "higher up" out there with the king and everything, and according to Aizen they are probably related to hollow one way or another since it's apparently the next step in power evolution.


I think the "30th captain" is simply there to put the emphasis on how old soul society is. If they all lasted 1000 years, it means the King has been running thing from behind for at least 30 000 years.

Nah, I doubt they've all been there for 1000 years, otherwise Yama wouldn't be too special. I wouldn't be surprised if he's not breaking records with 1000 years, but I'd be surprised if that was the average length of leading it.

Well, it doesn't have to be 1000 years, but it still give us a good idea of how old soul society is. I doubt the first 29 lasted 5 years if Yama could last 1000 years.
