There is no way Aizen overlooked Yamato's power, not after everything he has done. Beside, he constantly say he doesnt rely on anyone, so there is no way in hell he is relying on Wonderweiss.

See, now I'm not given to bouts of fandboyism or raging, it's not often that a pleasing or displeasing plot development prompts me to over-react, but if this goes down, I'll rage.

...Yet he didn't think to just wail on Aizen this entire time until he lost his Zan, his favorite officers were defeated, Ichigo got punked out, Vizards get downed, Kensei is MIA, and Unohana is downstairs healing Hiyori (who holds the record for longest surviving dead girl ever).
