Seems Nel's been gone so long that her number doesn't really mean much anymore. Noitora (as well as the other Espada) has become a lot more powerful in the years since she left, so even though he's 5 and she's 3, he's actually stronger~

That's ok. Ichigo has Saiyan blood and get stronger every time he is near death. He probably gained 2 level during his last fight and will own Noitoira soon.

He just need to start abusing the loophole Sangoku found and gain infinite power (sangoku was shooting his energy thing on himself and using the healing bean to get stronger)

wtf I don't remember goku ever doing that rofl. But ya Ichigo like all other Shonen Jump main characters seems to get "stronger" after each fight. When did goku shoot himself and eat sensu beans to recover and gain power lol?

On the ship to Namek, he was using his kamameha (or something) on himself, before eating a senzu bean.

Vegeta used the same tactic later on Namek, when he asked krillin(?) to kill him, and had someone else use their healing skills. I remember he almost died because the "healer" (forgot who) refused to heal him.

Toriyama patched the loophole after Namek, because they never used that again to get stronger. >_>

lol wow I forgot about how towards the end of his training on the ship he used the kamehameha on himself. He like circles it around the room and hit his back iirc. I guess at the time I thought he was just practicing getting hit while under the higher gravity lol. Good memory you have there XD.

One hollow can absorb another, but I doubt it will happens between Nel and Ichigo. Bleach hasnt killed a single character so far, and I doubt it will start now. They are probably just going to leave the place and get another upgrade/training to get stronger.
