Aizen wasn't even supposed to be the main protagonist. You can tell Kubo came up with the whole "illusion" thing because it was the only way he could write himself out of this hole and he uses it like a crutch.

I meant antagonist. And nobody knows. It's in an interview with Kubo somewhere. He meant for Gin or someone else to be the bad guy. He only came up with Aizen being a bad guy after his death.

You don't have to be a manga artist to realize how stupid and predictable this twist is at this point. Omg can you believe it, Aizen was ready for it again. It's bad storytelling. Pretty pictures don't make it good. The whole point of this chapter was to drag this arc on for another week. And he expects it to be exciting and shocking every time he plays this card, week after week.

We're all the way back where we were right after ichigo rescued rukia - ichigo attacks aizen, aizen is unaffected and looking invincible again. All of ichigo's development and effort has been for nothing thus far because Aizen is Batman and Ichigo is Harvey Dent.

Just as planned works great if there are minor clues along the way that afterwards make you say "wow, how'd I miss that?" Kubo doesn't have that though. It's just shitty writing that he expects the reader to accept because Aizen's the greatest thing since fire.

And way too often it feels that he's just throwing shit together under the premise that "I never said X, Y, or Z didn't have this power, so it works out." I mean, wtf at the Hougyoku being able to be embedded/giving regenerative powers?? And for that matter, when did it gain sentience?? I mean, why wouldn't Urahara have programed in a sense of loyalty to him if that were possible. And for that matter, why didn't he stick it in his own chest if it wouldn't have turned him into a Hollow or anything.

Also, wasn't Aizen's whole point of stealing the Hougyoku that he had reached his limits and wanted to exceed them by becoming a Hollow? He talks so condescendingly about becoming a hollow too, so what happened to that? >.> <.<

I betting there will be a twist that Ichigo is the key and somehow later he's eventually revealed to be actually the king himself. Kubo is seriously trolling now, if he decieded to do a it was all a dream to end the story I wouldn't be surprised.

Ugh, the only redeeming part of all this will be if Ichigo goes SSJ2 Hollow again. Then at least we'll get some epic fighting. But you know it'll just end with some giggling from that faggot Aizen and more .

where the hell is the story going? it's hard to take villians or story seriously when shit like this keeps happening. I know it's just a manga and junk but still. I rather have broken villians just because they're strong as fuck instead of troll bad guys who lulz their way around.

watch Urahara come out and troll aizen with the REAL hogyhoko(whatever the fuck it is) and then aizen's reiatsu implodes on himself killing him or something. granted, that'd be satisfying to me just because I'm sick of aizen and this shit arc.

If that happens Urahara would replace aizen as the "just as planned" villain. There is no escape from Kubo's trolling.

Urahara is probably in league with Aizen. Did not he open the gate to Hueco Muendo for the snigiamis? How could Aizen know that Ichigo would eventually enter Hueco Muendo and fight Ulquirra etc. ?
