Good find. So basically Aizen didnt actually know Isshin was a shinigami the whole time?
This would mean we misread Aizen's original statement about Ichigo being a hybrid. Aizen was referring to how Rukia had given Ichigo Shinigami powers with Aizen not realizing that Ichigo already HAD the powers technically. This makes Aizen being caught by surprise from Isshin more understandable.

I interpreted the whole "and this is his father?" thing as a joke by Aizen, since pulling back and keeping a safe distance is the exact opposite of what Ichigo would do and he's surprised ichigo's dad is more stategic than ichigo. Saying it runs in the family seems kinda the opposite of that lol

Pretty sure he isn't talking about how he fights but how he's trying to protect somebody. Isshin definitely isn't trying to keep his distance but Ichigo's distance. I don't remember exactly which fights/chapters it was but Ichigo has been told "keeping your distance is useless" in the same situations a couple times before.

Isshin and Aizen continue skirmishing.
Ichigo speculates on what Gin's shikai does exactly and whether it attacks in the direction it's facing or whatever.
Gin explains that his shikai extends his sword a maximum length of about 100 swords. He then shows that his Bankai extends his sword to a distance of about 13km and swings it down on Ichigo.

Ichigo blocks it and Getsuga's Gin in the face. Chapter ends showing Gin bleeding from the forehead.

so... his bankai is the same as his shikai, except it's longer?...That is exceptionally lame and I really hope there's more to it. And I really hope the next chapter doesn't end with Gin putting on his mask, because after standing around so much, and out living everyone else except Aizen, if he has to rely on that already it would just be so...Kuboesque.
