His Shikai can only travel about 60m (or 0.060km) and travels slowly (roughly 1m/s).
His Bankai travels a maximum of 13000m (or 13km) and travels almost instantly (500x the speed of sound, 340m/s, which equates to about 170km/s).

At this rate, his shikai will extend to its maximum after less than a minute. His Bankai, however, reaches its maximum length within 0.0007 seconds. Considering that fact, and the fact that he can swing with such precision and power, I don't think we can laugh at it much anymore.

Especially considering according to the latest translation, he skewers Ichigo through the shoulder with it.

Yeah, I love how all those vice captain fights and top 3 espada fights and all that were meaningless cause gin couldve cut them all down as soon as they arrived. And of course aizen could've done...anything

Oh well, at least a couple chars got some badass moments in. It was almost 2 years ago now that Kira decapitated the hawk and hisagi showed off his shikai, lol

And considering a decent amount of those fights were simultaneous, it's been maybe an hour or two since aizen and co. arrived in fake karakura? And 2 years have passed irl? Talk about pacing problems...

While fallen, and looking up into the air, Rangiku sees the smoke from the crumbling buildings and she thinks of Gin

While saying this, Gin readies his sword by contracting it to a wakizashi's length.

Ichigo: !? (Just now, when did he contract the sword? How did I miss that?)

(No, the entire time I've been trying to get out of his katana's range. I overlooked how flexible the lengthening of the sword is.)

Gin: Well then. how am I gonna do this, eh... My bankai is too easily stopped, do you think I just fight normally like this?

He charges toward Ichigo, and with incredible speed it becomes a long sword that Ichigo had to defend against.

Gin: Quite the katana, eh. It looks like it can break while I'm attacking.

Ichigo: If that's true, then I can break it as easily as you said! (If I guess right, when his sword contracts is the only time his bankai is vulnerable)
(And if I'm thinking right, if the tip of the sword points here, then it's all over!!)

Then with a flick, Gin suddenly lengthens the sword. For that instant, Gin's sword lengthens over a great distance and hits Ichigo's left shoulder.

Then, Gin swings downward, Ichigo dodges and shortens the distance and again, the wakizashi form defends against him. Again, Gin swings downward with a long sword and jumps onto a nearby building.

Ichigo: ... Just as I thought, your Bankai's scariest ability isn't the amount of destruction you can inflict, it's the speed of your sword's expansion and contraction. I was thinking about it. The distance you told me beforehand doesn't mean a thing. You might as well have stayed quiet and still have the advantage.

Specially, if your sword is something that can slice an entire town in half, even that didn't mean a thing either. As it is, even with that, you had the advantage. And with that, you even made sure to show me all of that, but that was all for the sake of distracting me away from realizing the speed of your sword's contraction and expansion. Isn't that right?!

Gin: .... Oh my. (... and with only one shot, he already noticed, with the second he was already able to parry it. How scary, how scary. And I've yet to play it out~)

(I could go no but, not yet not yet) Oh, you've found out, well nothin' I can do bout that, like you thought, it's Kamishiniyari's lengthening speed

In front of Ichigo, Gin claps the palm of his hand

Gin: .... You got that? Just now, that was 500 times. Kamishiniyari isn't the longest sword. It's the fastest. Now that you know, victory was never yours to begin with.

Once again, the scene changes to another battle.
Isshin and Aizen. Isshin looks like he has the upper hand.

Isshin: What now. Your movement's gone really sluggish. Is that your limit already?

Aizen: ... Ah, now what am I gonna have to do about that. This is indeed my limit. My shinigami self, that is.

Aizen: well, better change my spirit, then

So, Kubo basically wants us to believe that the undefeatable Aizen (shinigami form), which was able to bitch all but Yama in h2h, can be easily bitched by Isshin?

Is it just me or does Kubo seem to be growing impatient with Aizen? There was what, 3 chapters of Aizen fighting (or running, really), and now he's just gonna transform out of the blue? I guess Kubo is either really eager to show off his new creation, or he's just flat-out run out of ideas for normal Aizen.

Aizen is turning into another Kakashi - supposedly all these moves and abilities, but only shows 2 or 3. At least Kaka has an excuse.

kanpachi sword dont have name cause kanpachi is really aizins bankai. aizens bankai is so strong he had to seperate it from himself. the seperation ruined the bankais memory and that is why kanpachi had to make up a name for himself and why we dont know anything about his past eccept what wuz shown so far. Yachiro is the name he gave the pink girl and kanpachi said it wuz a name of a person he repected. The first name of the captain lady who wuz premoted to zero squad in the pendulum arc was Yachiru and kanpachi remembers this name because when she wuz still captain kanpachi and aizin was still together and that is also why kanpachi isnt seen in the flashback. aizin loves the zero squad girl and that is why aizin want the key so he can break into the kings place and get together with his lover again.
