Yea, about all we know right now is that Isshin > Aizen and so does Yama. I imagine many of the other captains might be more powerful than him too.
The only reason Aizen was any sort of a winner against of Yama was because of Wonderweiss. I've seen the current RAW, and Isshin is pretty much kicking the shit out of him.
There seems to be a vast difference between those under hypnosis, and those not.
Which, of course, still makes Gin's comment about "Aizen's Strength" all the more pointless.
Yeah, I'd wager having complete hypnosis over your opponent would make for a solid bitching.
The new anime OP is spoilerific.
So now we're at the conclusion that Aizen is weak without Kyoha Suigetsu?
lol.
Isshin having the upper-hand vs Aizen does not mean that other captains can beat him. That's just terrible logic.
Found a picture of Aizen's transformation:
Spoiler: show

its out woo
Pretty nice chapter. Like how they kind of made Ichigo/Gin a battle between the speed of their bankai's. As far as the whole Isshin > Aizen thing, like I said before, Yama was presumably more powerful then Aizen so it would make sense there would be those who fall in that power gap between the two. If the manga is to make any progression without ridiculously retconning Yama's thousand year statement, this would be the category of the Zero squad as well as Isshin.
It's not saying Yama's weaker then Isshin like some retards on other Bleach forums seem to believe, it's just showing Yama was stupid stronger then Aizen in a straight up battle.
^ pretty much this
I am enjoying ichigo vs gin quite a bit
Its nice to see how they are making ichigo smarter than he seemed before in terms of fighting by being able to figure out gin's bankai so fast
wondering how strong ichigo has gotten now, given gin's comment about how it feels like his sword is gonna snap from fighting him
or maybe I'm just looking too much into it and gin was just dicking around with that comment
Probably just dicking around. Gin seems to always patronize everybody around him except Rangiku. He always has a smile on his face but Gin is probably the biggest asshole in Bleach the way he always seems to pretend to give a shit lol.
And like you said about Ichigo, I reacted the same exact way. I was like, oh wtf he's thinking!?
"This is really gonna drag on".
No line in bleach were more accurate than this one...seriously.
I thought this fight was terrible. The whole piercing thing was so obvious I'm not sure why both Ichigo and Gin were acting like it's a mind game....it just felt stupid.
edit: neeeeevermind, minor details are minor.
The way Gin's talking, we know he has something up his sleeve. Just use it already.
or kubo goes for the big troll, and ichigo easily owns Gin after struggling with every single espada before.
I've been wondering for years why people who can make weapons grow never shorten them to get past people's guards before expanding em again.
Gin is the first guy i've seen who's finally done the smart thing.
really annoys me how Aizen hasn't really talked to/about Isshin. Aizen's never missed an opportunity to never shut the fuck up, but he hasn't given us any clues as to who/what Isshin is/was. Not even the tiniest hint if he even knew Isshin prior to this.
Probably because its too effective of a fighting style for a manga, especially one that can just show people "teleporting" away from an otherwise fatal hit, simply by virtue of "I'm faster than you, lul."
There isn't much that a mangaka can do outside of the aforementioned teleporting when someone locks their blade under another, faces it directly towards the target, and elongates it at some unfathomable speed. We've already seen quite a few off-panel dodges and "teleports" by Ichigo, instead of flat out parrying and real evasive techniques.
