Beat me, my guess is Kubo doesn't even know what uh.. Yuroichi?'s Zanp does at this point and Urahara's i dont even recall... so the only person there who truely "released" their Zanp ability was Ichigo, since Isshin showed up that.

Aizen said he hadn't become a vizard though so we are led to believe he is still 100% shinigami. Shinigami do not eat others, although maybe the transformation he underwent due to the Hogyoku caused him to break that barrier between Shinigami and Hollow in a pure fashion and become a 'Pure Hybrid' who has the qualities of both a Shinigami and a hollow? Just guessing here..

I'll be with those of you brandishing the torches and pitchforks if Urahara and Yoruichi go down like this. Back during the Soul Society arc, it annoyed the crap out of me that we didn't get to see Yamamoto fight Shunsui and Ukitake. But we got a good fight out of Ichigo and Byakuya so it was kinda ok.. I just can't wrap my mind around how Kubo doesn't show the fights the have been hyped up for years and how much of the story just seems pointless (like all the Espada). I mean, has he just not thought of abilities for the characters and thus can't show them, or what's the excuse?? I wonder though if this is the end of this arc, and we're finally gonna get the backstory arc about Isshin that Kubo said would be before the final arc.

What about Bleach did you like most? The fighting? The drama/plot? The art? The high school humor in the really early parts?

I'll be honest, I don't read a whole lot of the major fighting stuff, I tend for the humorous fighting stuff, I'm sure others can come in here and tell you stuff like Berserk, Trinity Blood or some shit as being as good/better. Oh and there's also Full Metal Alchemist, probably the best manga/anime ever.

Really enjoyed the fighting throughout the entirety of Bleach. The plot at some points when Kubo wasn't trolling hard as fuck was pretty good. It's just the inconsistencies that have been happening as of late (know they have been happening for awhile now) have finally almost completely turned me away from Bleach.

I just started/caught up on a series called Ao no Exorcist. It's got an early Bleach/D. Gray-Man feel to it. It only has 12 chapters out so far and is still pretty early in its story but i really enjoy it. The art is great and it has a pretty good sense of humor.

Veritas is another good series. The art is definitely this mangas (I think it's actually a manwa..) strong point. If want action this series is packed full of it. The plot is kind of weak but not in the sense that you feel like you're being trolled.

What we're seeing in mulletAizen is probably the first example of a truly perfect shinigami/hollow hybrid. I suspect Ichigo is only mere steps away from the same if this is true.

This is one of those times that the lack of color in manga is to be lamented. I suspect that this "perfect hybrid" form is marked only by the change in eyes and hair. Other features, such as skin tone, remain the same.

I'm looking forward to seeing it in color.

Pretty sure going from Bleach to OP might make ones mind explode. The level of storytelling is so vastly different between the two it might be dangerous to jump from one to the other.

As I was told when I first started OP, it's a bit slow until they get to Grand Line. For me I wasn't sold until the backstory arc just before the Grand Line, so I was sold by the time they got there.

OP is a series that has a very, very good anime adaptation, at least until the more recent episodes. You're good to watch 300-350 episodes at a fairly solid pace plot-wise. But it's also hard finding OP episodes from the early days.

Aizen is probably also pale as hell too. The anime showed Ichigo was still pale after his H2.0 version mask wore off.

Kind of funny seeing this in this thread, I just started it somewhat recently (about 160 chapters in so far), and am greatly enjoying it. The artwork was somewhat difficult to get used to though.
