It makes sense to me, I guess. We've only seen him on shikai form for the past however many years, and especially when you look at the vast amount of power he picks up when he goes bankai, you would think a change in Zangetsu would go along with it. At least, I would.

Then again, looking at the Zanpaktou arc, none of them changed either.

While Zabimaru was probably just a redesign on Kubo's end, it's possible that spirit form we saw earlier on was the shikai while the baboon lady/snake kid could've been considered the bankai form. Muramasa's influence could've "forced" their bankai look even if they weren't using it at any given time. Could also explain how some might not have recognized their swords straight off.

Then again, also need to consider some of the Captains around now are relatively new to the scene in SS so they might not have been able to do this particular level of bankai training even though they have it unlocked. I dunno. Guess I'd rather try to make sense of it all rather than make a lolbleachsux+1 post that seems to cyclically happen every week from the same people.

Tensa Zangetsu sorta looks like Ulqiorra, as well as his mix of byakuya
and the "entering the world in bankai makes spirit look different" thing, is yet another thing we can't properly deduce or debate upon because we've never seen it before, and I'll pretty much guarantee we'll never see another example of it, just like almost every thing in Bleach.

also; I assume the reason TZ doesn't want to teach Ichigo is because if Ichigo learnes it, he'll head right after Aizen, which would get Ichigo and thus himself killed.
"what you(Ichigo) want to protect(friends/town/people) is not what I(Zangetsu) want to protect(Ichigo's life).
So this means that even Zangetsu doesn't have a clue as to how strong Ichigo's Plotkai is.

This is kinda what I was going to suggest about recent Bleach chapters.

People have been bitching about "The Final Getsuga Tensho" and whatnot but it kinda makes sense.. Stay with me here:

Ichigo never learned a new move in his Bankai state. The black Getsuga Tensho we all know is Hollow Ichigo's ability not Ichigo's. He even says he copied it from him. He did learn regular Getsuga Tensho while in Shikai from Zangetsu but in Bankai the move is not his. Think about it. Everytime after he got Bankai he has relied on his Hollow's powers through the Black Getsuga Tensho everytime he used it. He's never advanced in training on his own. I think all the "Final" part means is he's going to learn the true power of his sword in Bankai and not using his Hollow's power anymore.

That's how I think Kubo's trying to explain it anyway. He could have had described it differently like Isshin saying: "Your going to learn your true Bankai power!" but whatever..

This could be why Ulqiorra said his Black Getsuga was much like a cero

I dunno about that, 'cause that wouldn't explain why it was the same for Isshin when he was learning his "Final" Getsuga as seen on this page. Unless he was on his way to fight some strong ass enemy at that time.
