Stay far away from episodes 168-189. It's pretty bad in all conceivable ways. Especially a lot of the animation. And don't worry about missing out on anything that may or may not have anything to do with non filler episodes, because the arc is completely and entirely not related to the regular bleach story at all. The filler begins with "We will now take a break from our current story and bring you somewhere else."

230-255 is another arc that is completely separate from the Bleach story, BUT I thought it was pretty good, especially the beginning half. It got a little stupid at the end, but nothing too bad. I would suggest watching it, cause I for one liked it better than anything after they entered Hueco Mondo.

256-265 I would skip. I only watched the first two episodes of this mini arc, but they were really stupid so I didn't bother with the rest.

some of it is okay at most. The whole new fake captain arc was just awful hands down. I think everyone will agree with that. The zanpakto arc was fun for about.. I dunno 10 episodes, if that. I lost interest completely around there. The ones that last only for 2 episodes are usually the worst. How to play soccer, or bake cakes.

The Byakuya fight pretty much was the highlight of the Zanpakuto arc.

Otherwise, I never really liked Bleach's comedy. Too often it's forced through yelling or some kind of physical contact. Sometimes you'll get gems like Lisa saying it's okay for Hitsuguya to be interested in girl's bodies, but then there's characters like Hiyori or Kanonji.

Not gonna lie, the Don Kanonji appearing and his theme song playing is gonna be pretty awesome at that moment. Then Aizen will stop his music cold like he did to Ichigo.

I enjoyed Amagai as a character, even if he was just a cross between Urahara and Shunsui (Kisuke + Shunshui = Shuusuke Amagai).

Amagai was pretty badass until the villian part. I actually had a modicum of respect for that filler until the whole "MY DAD WAS HURT SO IMMA AVENGE HIM N' KILL PEOPLES!" re-hashed tripe.

Funny how no matter how many exotic powers each manga series bestows its characters with, "villains" typically always become evil for the same standard human reasons: revenge, lust, greed, arrogance, ect.

I love how Aizen meant to cleave Ichigo in half. I guess he was lying about that too, since Kubo has built him up as a liar in order to change the direction of the story on the fly.

Well the new episode was not that bad actually. If anything it further enhanced the point that the Espada were not actually willing participants in Aizen's plans.

It will be interesting to see how far the anime goes with the currect arc. I would imagine up until Aizen is about to excute his plans but who knows.

Never really seemed like any of them really cared about being participants in Aizen's plans except for Baraggan imo. More like they went along with whatever Aizen wanted because they each got something out of it except for Baraggan seeing as he had everything he wanted (being the "King/God") and then getting it all taken away from him.

Anyways I'm pretty excited to see how the rest of this arc animated up till the point where Aizen starts trolling everyone. . . . . . . .
