Bleach really is for 12-year-olds and other simpletons who forget what they read 3 months ago. He's a scientist now? Surely we must have known because of the glasses!

What glasses? I don't remember any glasses, as it's been so long since the last time he didn't look like a douche.

But I completely agree. The sooner you realize Kubo made this for a bunch of middle school boys the sooner you'll realize Bleach cannot be redeemed for a bunch of 20-30(40~?) year old American internet nerds. Kubo doesn't care about a story that feels grand or has underlying meanings, he just needs to make sword fights and magic and "I'm actually behind you." tricks to see a large amount of popularity from his target audience.
There's already fangasms on BA talking about what an awesome plot twist and development this chapter is and how Gin's character was greatly developed.
Gin's character was wasted. Terribly. He didn't even get any fights.
Gin got to dick around with Ichigo for a couple of chapters, although not as literally as most of the slash fic fantards would have liked...
I agree that Gin was completely wasted as a character, it would have been much more interesting if Gin had succeeded in killing Aizen instead of having Aizen WTF Plotkai Hax everything...again...
Even after Ichigo defeats Aizen he will still play the just as planned card. I'm so bored with this whole Aizen crap, He is one of the most uninteresting evil villian ever created. The author should feel bad.
I feel a bit better now that I realize Bleach just isn't for me... literally.
Its made for 12-year-old Japanese children. Its just a shame that all the "mature" (age-wise, not graphic-wise) manga turns into a bunch of gore and boring mysteries.
Not quite sure how Aizen doing science things in the past is a retcon. If I recall, Urahara more or less turned the squad into the science division, which might've meant plucking various brainy types from other squads while those more combative would transfer to others. None of this would imply people never fucked around with experiments beforehand, including Mayuri who had to be locked up for SOME reason to suggest his potential for becoming a criminal.
The Hogyoku shit isn't really a retcon, it just wasn't revealed
Retconning means that by doing this, something that he did or didn't do in the past is impossible, which is not true
I don't really have much of an opinion on this chapter other than Gin dying is a huge, huge waste, along with the possibility that a fuckload of other characters died in a waste too (Yamamoto, Ukitake)
If Ichigo's new appearance follows the story so far, it should be more powerful than his super-hollow form
Who knows though, who cares.
Ichigo is carrying his Dad on his back. Aizen about to get raped like that nigga in Lincoln Park.
Hide your kids, hide your wife
It's Bleach why do we expect anything different? Aizen took over writing along time ago so don't be surprised when Ichigo dies (again wut?) and the story now follows Aizen and his quest to shit on everyone.
Wait.
Spoiler: show
Here's my storybook question:
Ichigo and Pappy go from sitting around in limbo to right behind Aizen, and we're supposed to believe that right now, it is without Aizen knowing.
Come 2 chapters now, its going to be revealed that Aizen knew exactly when Ichigo finished, when they came through, and how much power ichigo currently has. When this is revealed, we'll all supposed to believe that it is both perfectly logical and yet "strangely mysterious and cool" at the same time.
I mean, its like Kubo is doing weekly book readings at the elementary school with this tripe. There's no depth - its just a hodgepodge mishmash of random fantasy and manga elements slapped together.
Obviously. All this pissing around town was just Aizen waiting for Ichigo to 'get near his level' so he can finally have a 'worthy opponent'. That's a couple cliches right there, but then again, Aizen's a walking-plothole with Cliche armor.
That sounds like a DC or Marvel character if I ever heard of one.
Plothole, a character that can alter reality by breaking the 4th wall, reading ahead and behind the comic chapters, and utilize plotholes and cliches to deflect attacks.
Pitch Kubo that idea; maybe he'll make a rival to Aizen or use him as his antagonist for his next series.
Deadpool would kick his ass for fucking with his ability to break through the 4th wall.
plothole sounds 10x more interesting than aizen
next time on bleach: ichigo attacks aizen, aizen looks injured but regenerates, aizen teleports behind ichigo and slashes him, chapter ends with a spray of blood.
alternately: lots more talking
No.
No no no no no no no no .
Gin is not dead.
....D:
blah chapter is out....
I'm usually not one of the people to bitch about solid black panels/pages, but seriously wtf
Spoiler: show
Probably the worst chapter for bleach in awhile imho, and thats saying a lot. FFS the art was even crap, aside from the color front page, which you know will make this a high ranked chapter in JP polls.
