I just think the whole thing is retarded because we've seen like 16 forms of Ichigo, but we only get to see them once, and then never again. At least with DBZ I could always count on seeing the same SSJ form, instead of constantly seeing these wtfhybrids all out of nowhere, and then never again. SSJ was always SSJ - SSJ2 always had finer hair, longer spikes, ect., and SSJ3 always had steroid eyebrows and long-ass hair.

We've seen mutant ichigo, insane eyes ichigo, dinosaur ichigo, Rider of the apocalypse ichigo, and now we're seeing a cross between the ninja and mummy in Captain Commando's squad - with hair - ichigo. Whose next?

I'm annoyed that they cut that, not because of that 'where are my legs, oh hai thar!' argument, or that it was the first casualty (cept no one dies in Bleach >.> <.<), but because it showed how outclassed they were (and how much more awesome it made Gin).

Great episode. Seems they put a lot into the animation and it's nice to see the anime confirm Komamura's shikai. Anime in general has done a pretty good job of filling in the manga's shortcomings. Interesting to see they apparently are going all the way up to Tosen's death too, this only puts it 20~30 chapters behind the manga so I expect a huuuge Bount-style arc filler coming up.
