It can't be just me, but it seems like as the manga has aged, the fights have gotten shorter and the amount of blank wasted panels and talking has increased in inverse proportion.

I really thought Ichigo would fight Aizen a'la Zaraki or Byakuya, or even Renji, but it was just HAHAFISTTOFACETECHNIQUE and "Hey I'm already strong enough to whoop your ass but let me sacrifice my powers just in case I'm not lol FGT!!!! MUGUTSI LOL"

The whole fight was an utter failure. I'm happy to see a new arc that can potentially start from what made Bleach great, which is where Kubo seems to be going with this one.

What's frustrating is the lack of closure with Kensei (who vanished mysteriously) and the rest of the vizards (where the fuck are they going to go now that Ichigo has no mask anymore) as well as Gin (dead? missing? wtf????).

Shit, lack of closure with the Vaizards, Division Zero mystery, with Orihime (she had the nuts to confess her love to him before going to Hueco Mundo, and then not a word upon being rescued), Yammy (was his demise implied? I couldn't tell), the bodies Kurotsuchi found, Grimmjow (guy could've been the Knuckles to Ichigo's Sonic), Kisuke (we see his ass whipped before Aizen goes to Karakura Town, then he pops up "just as planned" when Ichigo is winning), and pretty much everything about Isshin.

Oh, and everything about Aizen.

I can accept some throwaway concepts, writers tend to do it here and there (especially in American comics, where writers change titles every year, and whole plot lines get dropped), but god damn.

The Vegeta/Goku parallel would have been more accurate, but Sonic/Knuckles (who still share a rivalry, despite their allegiance) was the first that popped up in my head.
