end of the arrancar arc. next week? bleach power rangers. No, i'm not making that up. Guess i'm done watching the anime lol.
They changed the plot to fit in the fillers.
He's not waking up in his house without his powers because he'll do that later when they're done with 200 more episodes.
Done watching the anime until the fillers are over.
Yeah, noticed they tweaked him to basically be a time bomb to suck with an unknown countdown, really. Technically it gives them the leverage to wiggle in the past filler arcs, but I would still think it'd be affecting his potential unless we're somehow led to believe the Ichigo up until the Aizen fight was just 5% or less. Either way, I just hope what filler we get isn't just a bunch of random one-offs like this Don Kanonji ranger shit that next week's gonna be. Something better than the zanpakuto arc would be keen.
At least the Zanpakuto arc was better than the Bounto arc... /shudder.
Question: I recall Aizen saying that he needed Orihime's powers to do something, but I don't remember them actually DOING anything with them. IIRC, he played up her powers suggesting that she is capable of far far more than anyone imagines, but the whole subject just kinda died... What part did her powers actually play in Aizen's schemes? Or was all that stuff just some bullshit excuse he gave her, and he really only wanted her to lure Ichigo to him?
Your memory is fine. Aizen hyped her abilities in speech but nothing was shown at all. Unfortunately one can add that to the many plot holes provided by the author. It's a pretty good idea not to think to much into it as you'll just get a bunch of speculated answers. Manga/Anime are exactly alike in that they show and tell nothing of what she did. She was captured and used a plot device to get Ichigo and company to go to H. Mundo.
I thought he was going to use her ability to restore the hyogyoku's power or something.
Either way, I wouldnt call it a plothole until we get more informations about the bodies in szayel's laboratory. There is still a lot of stuff to answers, and with terrible pacing, its just going to take years before we get to see the explanation.
Well this chapter isn't any better. No summaries yet but the gist is:
Spoiler: show
That's it.
GOD FUCKING DAMMIT I HATE ORIHIME.
Her face in the show made me rage.
uh huh... So Rukia is Ichigo's incorporeal stalker now.
Btw, I wouldn't hold your breath on the bodies thing. Arrancar arc is "over" and I don't think Kubo will be good enough to remember that line. Hell, I was surprised that he even remembered that Mayuri even fought Ishida in the Soul Society arc.
Azien took Orihime for her powers with potentially limitless powers, but not to use them.
He took her to make SS think That's what he was going to do so SS would send people to HM, thus dividing SS's fighting strength in the fake karokurkoroko town arc.
That was the reason the manga gave anyway. That, and to make Ichigo fight.
In all probability, Kubo originally had something planned for Orihime, but he fucked it up somehow.
Because seriously, if Aizen was so smart how could he not see ichigo had no chance of winning? He fucking died twice. Would have died 3 times if Kenpachi didn't show up. Only reason he lived both times was plotkai.
and as for dividing SS's strength, what would have 4 more people done to stop Aizen when he 1shotted just about everyone?
I for one was betting on Orihime using her powers to reverse the Hogyoku into nothingness, but instead of doing that, she accidentally brings it back to full power. I mean... Aizen showed her exactly where he kept it. Why the fuck would he do that?
He was really showing her the vending machine, and by rejecting it they'd all get free snickers bars.
I think a bigger plot-hole was that you had this all-out war and some of the Captains and Vizards were still holding back from using their bankai's. You had a Captain Commander who can seemingly beat the crap out of Aizen even with his zanpaktou sealed and yet his first attack was to commit a mass-suicide to take him down. Then you have a clusterfuck of a mystery of when Aizen was not NOT using KS. Bleach is just full of stupid shit lol.
I stand by that Kubo hasn't though of Bankais for half the captains. I mean fuck.. what other reason could they possibly have for not using them during that fight. The only potential reason I can think of (and this might apply to Ukitake based on what Shunsui said during their fight with Stark) is that some of them have Bankais that would affect everyone on the battlefield, and not just their target -- kinda like how if Mayuri had been in Karakara town and used his, the poison would have hit everyone. But I think the more likely answer is just that Kubo hasn't thought of them >.> <.<;
Oh Bleach how I love reading your chapters with zero plot development.
