So, new filler arc began today.

Getting the vibe the 11th division dude they introduced is attempting to replace soul reapers with elaborate puppets or clones. Hard to peg his motive for the girl just yet, but it was obvious he recognized her based on the grin when seeing Rukia's report.

If the new opening is any indication, we'll probably be getting lots of fights amongst the cast. Hopefully they don't spend too much time on the crappy ones, though.

I'm not thinking it did much, other than give him an opening. Seems like he did the same thing that Renji pulled on Ichigo long ago in soul society, faking a limitation on his attacks to set up the opponent.

Hey, if Ichigo's powers are back, at least there's progress. Honestly, if Kubo decided to skip all the pointless Fullbring training/evolving that would just be forgotten once he got his powers back, that's fine with me~

Just realized though.. how long has it been since we've seen him out of Bankai? Years?

That doesn't seem like his Shinigami powers, it seem more like his fullbring mimicking his Bankai-form as that's what he's most used to. The sword and his clothes seem to be entirely made out of energy.

The idea that his full-bring is mimicking his zanpaktou in general is pretty interesting. Next week I'd like to see Ichigo curb-stomp this guy with ease and Kubo actually go into depth about Orihime. Grimmjow and Ulquiorra both insinuated something was done to her so it'd be impressive on Kubo's part to take the new arc in that direction. If anything Kubo remembering that would be pretty awesome.

I still think Kubo can take Bleach back to SS arc status if Orihime somehow became the new bad guy.

I was thinking more along the lines of something like Aizen originally trying to turn her into a weapon to destroy the soul king, but said fuck it when his hand was forced by SS and went into battle with an incomplete dragonball instead.

Shinigami powers or not, that's pretty cool. Maybe he never completely lost them at all.

Also, Ginjou's reactions to all of this stuff are very quickly erasing any thoughts of a twist with him being a villain, for now.
