To elaborate a little more, and this is all also coming from Bakuman, they take those questionnaires and out of the thousands and thousands they get back, randomly pick 1000 and see where the manga is sitting. They do this twice, when the first 1000 questionnaires have returned, it's like a preview for how well received the chapter was, and then a few days later when the deadline ranking occurs they randomly pick 1000 and see how it's fairing. The second time is the official ranking of the chapter.
I agree though, if the series is still making a buttload of money I doubt it'll be canceled anytime soon. But if it stays on the bottom ranks (like 15 or worse) and the sales begin to drop, it'll probably get the axe. Things can turn around though, you look at how they gave Sket Dance a chance. It didn't do so well for quite some time, and then finally started picking up in ranking. It got it's own anime after like 180 chapters and it's finally doing well. So yeah, I kind of doubt Bleach is in any imminent danger at the moment.
On some level, popularity will inevitably wane with age in favor of the next big shiny. This is by no means saying Kubo is without flaws in his writing, but it's possible the kids who were buying and voting for Bleach back in the day simply aren't kids anymore and have perhaps moved on to different things with their life. If it goes even further as Vasp says and they don't even tally every survey they receive, but instead pick a couple thousand... even worse.
Yeah, I'm not sure I could stomach Naruto if he was still 11 or whatever the series started at. Maybe it's just me growing older, but I've been developing a progressive disdain for tales where little kids continuously oust adults. It's fun and inspiring when you're a kid, sure, but when you're grown up, it's almost like a backhanded way of saying adults are dumb. Maybe one day I'll be able to bring myself to stomach OP's style, though.
Not that anyone really cares, but dub on AS has finally reached the fake Karakura arc(Episodes 213-229). Not much else to watch on Saturday's around this time anyways.
Hisagi fight and Uber Ichigo were the only good things to come out of the fake Karakura town arc.
Granted I completely stopped watching the anime halfway through, except a few episodes here and there.
I haven't seen a Bleach episode since the Grimmjow v Ichigo fight in Huecco Mundo
How does the anime do in polls or w/e? If the franchise (movies, games, etc) does well, could see that extending the manga's lifespan even if it is dropping in popularity.
Yep (being Ginjou as the attacker).

You should go back and read the entire arc. That panel was left in ambiguous anime/manga fashion, you didn't see who attacked Uryuu off screen, everyone just assumes it was Tsukishima. I mean damn, Uryuu just outright fingered Ginjou as his attacker. It's trolling all around anyways, Tsukishima busts in the door right after those two panels anyways, making the attacker once again ambiguous. Can only go off of what Uryuu just obviously said.
Edit: Also this actually:

Makes perfect sense if Ginjou was the attacker, he wouldn't have realized it was himself in his mind-changed state.
watching an amv of our helpless ichigo it seems in Final Zengetsu his cross guard (no pun) becomes extended into a more larger Swastika as we see in his basic fullbringer mode
Not sure if anyone's posted this but it's from the third databook UNMASKED.
Couldn't find it in a regular chapter format so this youtube video with the corny music will have to do. It's interesting, a small bit of info into Ulquiorra's past.
Seeing that is sort of like a bitch slap personaly. Knowing that all the arrancars will ever be seen again, or heard of again for that matter is kind of irritating... excluding flashbacks of course
Ulquiorra and Linkin Park. of course.
i'd like to know the back story to all the arrancar since we don't know anything about nel's hollow past yammi is also a mystery as well as 8 and 7
We kinda got a vague hint on Nel through Nnoitora, in that she didn't exactly seem to be a battle-crazed arrancar and kind of took it upon herself to follow him around to make sure he didn't step too far out of line. Of course, he then went and made a deal with Szayel to take her and her fraccion out. Not exactly the deepest of backstories, but then again, even that Ulq one was pretty lame.
