Durarara Author Ryohgo Narita to Write Bleach Novel

This year's 37th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Ryohgo Narita, the author of the Durarara!! and Baccano! light novels, will write a novel based on Tite Kubo's Bleach manga. The announcement indicates that the main character of the novel will be Don Kanonji. The novel is part of the 10th anniversary celebration for Bleach.

Viz Media publishes the Bleach manga in North America and also releases the anime on DVD. Crunchyroll streams the anime as it airs in Japan, and Hulu, VizAnime, and ANN stream the anime afterwards. Yen Press licensed the manga version. Aniplex of America is releasing the Durarara!! anime on DVD and on the Adult Swim television network (after Crunchyroll streamed it during its initial Japanese broadcast), and Funimation released the Baccano! anime series.

The feeling I had at the end of the chapter was wooshed away by the "comedy" Oh well. Was nice seeing some of the other cast. Kinda surprised some of them would give Ichigo their reiatsu, but at the same time not really.

Anyone else think Rukia now looks like the healer dude from the SS arc?

Really enjoyed this chapter.

Just re-started up Bleach recently too with GF, watching it on from episode 1 to the end of the Ryoka arc (or w/e they called it).

Really do love Bleach, and enjoy what i was and has become. Also, I remember someone a long time ago mentioning "Bleach got stupid when they all start flying for no reason", after rewatching it, in the very very first episode after Ichigo got his Soulreaper powers, he was knocked out of his house and he floated there in air for a moment before being knocked down by the hollow.

So it seems they've been able to fly/float since day 1 they just didnt use it for whatever reason?

Dunno why i needed to get that out.

This week's episode got my hopes going at possible directions the filler arc could've taken, but instead the opted to mess with the time paradox angle.

Basically when they're at Urahara's talking about being outnumbered and outgunned, further speaking on how Kageroza couldn't seemingly duplicate Ichigo for a Reigai because of his inner Hollow, I was immediately thinking, "Hey guys, take a trip to Hueco Mundo to recruit some old allies!" or even hit up the Vizard to get them some more fight time.

But yeah, instead they go with some of Ichigo's remaining energy being trapped in the Cleaner, so they go to claim it while he winds up saving himself after the first time he got sucked up because time doesn't apply there. Kind of annoying since we know he'll have to lose to sync up with the manga plot eventually and just seemed like they missed a good chance create some more varied fights.

Would of been another good opertunity to show the Vizard, since they are all rather popular and haven't really recieved alot of anime fighting screen time. I do love Hachi :3 But nooo. More tedious shit to drag it out another 10 weeks.

Lol, Shikai Ken alone would be fucking awesome. But I would love to eventually see his bankai.

I doubt Kubo (or even us) could (not jokingly) think of a Shikai fitting of Kenpachi anyway >_> Let alone Bankai.

Karbuncle, that sword state IS his Shikai; it's similar to Ichigo's sword in the case that it's perma released. The problem is that he doesn't know his zanpakuto's name or care too much to converse with it's inner spirit, so it's more or less reduced to a simple cutting tool, rather than something that could be used with the weapon's basic abilities. XD When you really think about it, Kenpachi will forever be the "strongest" Shinigami... potentially, lol.
