Senbonzakua (Thousand Cherry Blossoms) is his zanpakuto's name and shikai, yes. Its bankai is Senbonzakura Kageyoshi (Vibrant Display of a Thousand Cherry Blossoms).

How did Zaraki lose to Ichigo again without his patch on, before Ichigo even had a Bankai? Would Have rather seen him fight than all the talking between ishida and ichigo.

Zangetsu gave him access to all of the dormant spiritual pressure in his body for one attack

Meaning he was probably, for that one attack, more powerful than his Bankai

What...!? Ichigo didn't refuse Ishida's help saying that "it's my own fight, I have to do it alone". I'm surprised. It would be the first 2v1 that I can remember in Bleach.

Also, Ishida was slashed by Tsuki's blade earlier... why isn't he turning on Ichigo already? Orihimme healed him up. Doesn't that send red flags to Ichigo?

Byakuya better own the hell out of that shitface worse than Zaraki owned King Bradley.

I think that the way Tsukishima's power works is that if he cuts you with his power, you don't take any damage from it.

Ishida got attacked once by Ginjou, nearly died.

Then he got slashed by Tsukishima a few chapters ago, but he took a lot of physical damage, so one can assume that he wasn't using his power for that attack.

He said Kuchiki healed him, not Orihime. Rukia healed him.

Also, he had his internal monologue. He's not turned.

I could be getting this wrong because lolKubo, but Byakuya explained the first time we saw Ichigo's bankai that it doesn't make him stronger. It compresses his power in order to allow him to wield it at incredible speeds. In terms of raw spiritual pressure, Ichigo has always been a monster.

So if we're talking stand there DBZ style, power up, and put everything into 1-shot, Ichigo's always been as powerful as he could be. Basically Bankai takes Ichigo from the Hulk and turns him into the Flash without sacrificing any of that base brute strength.

I don't think so. The state of his clothes is simply a manifestation of his reiatsu levels i.e. the causality is stronger reiatsu >> more intact clothes.

well since ichigo isn't a shinigami he'd be naked so his spirit energy makes clothes and since bankai is done normally by captain level shinigami his armor is presented in more of a formal style (despite it looking more like he stole the old man's clothes)

I hate how they don't emphasize Ichigo's speed during Bankai anymore...everything is just about Getsuga Tensho, his speed is even outclassed by Ulquiorra... I mean that's suppose to be the main strength of his Bankai and I thought it was cool, before everything turned to Getsuga fest...

Same. It's like after the Byakuya fight Kubo totally forgot about that aspect. He can't out-maneuver anyone.
