Byakuya's sword I can understand, but how the fuck do you change the memories of a floor? and how would changing the memories of a floor change its physical structure? If he could do that to a floor, he would beable to cut himself and change his memories to make himself think he was the strongest person ever alive and it would work.

I think his ability is to insert himself/his presence into a person's past rather than just alter their memories (at least I seem to remember reading that), and cutting himself might not work because he'll be inserting himself into his own past which may be impossible.

As mentioned, it's not about memories, but an object's past. He can alter a floor's past and make it so that he set up a trap in it 20 minutes (or 20 years) ago. A person's past is reflected in their memories, but that's really the only tie to memories Tsukishima's power has.

That is logical, but if the blades were separate entities like that Tsukishima should have only had inserted himself into the pasts of the few petals he cut not the entire Senbonzakura. So that likely won't work.

Worked well enough for Byakuya to use the exact same tactic against Black Espada with a similar controlling ability, which would probably be the reasoning I imagine for these 2 to be paired in a fight against each other.

But Tsukishima has shown himself to somehow have mastery over the entirety of Senbonzakura atm. Again why it works like that vs. how the Espada's control ability is Kubo logic.
