Wouldn't it be much easier for Aizen if he had pursued Ginjo instead of Ichigo? Come on Bleach what the fuck is this shit..
Only if you forget the Ginjo is really Ichigo's DNA that was used by Aizen to clone himself and only by absorbing Android 18 can he reach his true, ascended Hogokyou form.
Those are some pretty impressive power levels.
Maybe he's closer to Aizen fight level than I thought.
Anyone really surprised Ginjo has Bankai? I think by the point that Ikkaku got it it was apparent everyone was going to posess it from that point onwards.
Its' just become SSJ status, a once legendary ability that even kids can now do. Wouldnt even be surprised if Rukia has it by now tbh
Plus itd be a really one sided fight without any powerups.
Who exactly is everyone after Ikkaku? Besides Renji and the Captains, which you need to achieve in order to become Captain in the first place unless you're Kenpachi, who else has Kubo spammed bankai with? I'm all for bagging on Kubo's snails pace story-telling style but let's not make shit up to discredit the guy.
They were training to try and get Bankai but we never saw anyone else with one. And I doubt that Rukia has one. I doubt there will be another Ice Bankai until the end.
Probably the only thing we're missing here is how old Ginjo really is. Him having bankai doesn't surprise me much, as him having his own badge must have meant something at whatever time they gave it. For now, we can only assume they thought he was a good guy, only for him to betray them in some manner. Possible Tsukishima involvement? Still vague.
Hoping for Ichigo to go hollow strikes me as empty. We've established that it and Zangetsu were basically two sides of the same coin. He literally fought both and came to terms with it to get FGT. Throwing that away without some kind of internal dialogue would be a waste. This fight not going on much longer (in manga form) is okay with me. Once we fill in the pieces on Ginjo's story, we can move on to bigger things.
The problem is, we probably wont get the closure we are looking for. Just like the past 2-3 story lines...
Does it look like the wall around Seireitei is moved back in that one shot to anyone else?
Huh?
Why are you people surprised Ginjou has Bankai? Or Hollow powers?
Of course this dude is gonna be a good guy soon anyways. Typical shounen style and all.
Or deleted from Kubo's memory like every other bad-guy-turned-good after Ichigo defeat.
Also I'd like to believe Ichigo's power level is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond Aizen's by now.
I just meant that by the fact that even Ikkaku can gain this godlike ability, that everybody then has the potential to gain it throughout the story, thus pushing up the level of fighting to a new standard, like DBZ.
As for Ichigo being stronger than Aizen now, its possible, but im in the camp that believes Aizen wasnt as godly powerful as he thought, and that Yamamoto and possibly even Shinsui/Ukitake were stronger than him as well.
It's been shown Ikkaku gained his bankai long before the story of Bleach even started. He's also constantly insinuated to be a Captain class shinigami when he feels like it. I would of understand if you said if Hanatarou can gain bankai anyone can, but thats obviously not the case. Ikkaku is arguably the strongest shinigami in Soul Society who doesn't wear a white haori. Just seems like you're fishing to diss Bleach because it's the cool manga hipster thing to do.
If substitute-shinigami couldn't go bankai as a common trend, what reason would they have to keep tabs on them? If they were just run of the mill shinigami they could just kill them whenever right?
Also for a devious plot device, Im guessing that Isshin gave Ginjou his powers in an Ichigo-and-Rukia-esque situation. This would explain why Isshin lost his powers and why he is no longer a part of soul society's business, that is, since it was an offense punishable by death he probably escaped- or was the death technicality because of aizens trollin'?
I think that was Aizen trollin' ... And I thought ishhin still had his powers. How did he turn into a shinigami when fighting aizen
No no Hirokei, im one of the few guys here that actually likes Bleach lol, that wasnt me dissing it, just making a point on people saying "lolwutbankai?"
He lost them for reasons yet clarified, only to show signs of their return when taking out Grand Fisher. With him apparently knowing about FGT, I'd lean more toward him losing them because of using that himself instead of sharing with another.
"The battle's end?!" People should stop pulling that shit, we know it's now the end of the fight.
Ichigo vs Ginjo is Ichigo vs Grimmjow all over again. Two opponents that were leaders of a small team of weaklings that shared their powers. The eyes, scraps of meat (in Grimmjow's case, literally), right down to losing because of Ichigo's loving gaze.
Ichigo does have nice eyes though.![]()
