Lease probably ran out on them. Sadly, anyone with Netflix pretty much has no reason to watch AS for older stuff, and even the new is at the fingers of the net savvy if you're okay with subs. For all the bitching they love to do about anime lacking popularity, they really don't even try to put it in good slots. Instead, it's just assume all the nerds without social lives are home saturday night.

A little late, but I had a bunch of the ronin warrior action figures as a kid. Things were like 90% springs and they pinched the shit out of the skin between my thumb and finger AAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLL the time. I could also never find the orange armor guy and that made me sad

I think that a lot of the problem that they have with anime in general is that they got burned rather bad by Big O season 2. I mean they where practically the soul reason that it got made, and it didn't seem to pull in the numbers they where expecting, and that debuted at the start of the Sunday line up for half a year I think. To be fair though I don't think that Big O, as awesome as it is, was a very good choice for them. I mean that second season get really weird and hard to follow at some points.

Adult Swim isn't shilling anime anymore because it's not "amagad popular" to them like it was in the 90s and early 2000s. It still has quite the following but like most stupid companies they would rather not invest the time and money to really step up their game.

Season 2 was confusing as fuck. I've seen the ending 15 times and still don't know what the fuck.

It might be less confusing to think of it in a Truman Show (scripted reality on a massive stage)/NGE-type of mild, successive progression through repeated loops, kind of way. Alot of the elements of such a thing were there.. the whole amnesia thing that marks a new cycle might be flawed too (as an intentional mechanism), given that people retain some constant identity/knowledge. There were some supposed notes by the director out there almost a decade ago, about what a Season 3 might have looked like.
