Yeah, it was Bringer Light, as the anime's come to call it.
I enjoyed this arc overall even though it had it's blah moments. I didn't like how it kinda fizzled out there at the end. Ginjo should have been more of a threat. I mean he didn't seem to have any different abilities after he went bankai besides a new look. Also was like WTF?! that the vizards are captains again. We don't hear a word about them in I don't know how long and then.. bam Kensei is suddenly standing there. I guess it's the logical choice to fill the spots but I wanted to see Hisagi or Renji get promoted. It's cool how SS is more mellow now. In the past if Ichigo would have just showed up like that Yama would have been like, "How dare you barge in here like this!"
3 week break? gd kubo
I'm disappointed really, the arc started off with a lot of promise and built up pretty well, right up to the point where the shinigami showed up and it pretty much died a death. Also, what was the deal about them saying how Ginjo 'stole shinigami powers and murdered lots of people' or something? Was that ever even brought up? Did we find out any real motives behind it?
It was alluded that Tsukishima had killed people by screwing up his ability, and they had the usual manga villain disregard for human life... But to just mention that right at the end seems pretty stupid.
Mind = BLOWN
ALso what the fuck at 3 week break
I think we're supposed to be given the assumption Ginjou murdered a lot of shinigami's to protect the fullbringers. At least that's the way I take it seeing as how they're all extremely grateful for Ginjou and Soul Society's history has shown they're extremely xenophobic. The Vizards being allowed back into SS is pretty bad ass and the environment in general seems to be the biggest thing Kubo has going that resembles character development. Oh and that he actually remembered about some of his past characters is pretty hype in itself lol.
As long as Kubo can come back with a promising new arc now that his big ass plot device for Ichigo's powers are over I don't mind the three week break.
Just more off-topic posting for us for 3 weeks. No biggie.
I can't even hate, Kubo remembering past characters and wrapping up loose ends is a godsend in this manga. Nice to know the Vizard weren't forgotten.
Fuck that break though, eat a dick Kubo.
Well, some of the vizard are still a mystery. Lisa, Hachi, Hiyori, Mashiro, and Love were absent from this little interlude. 3 of those were lieutenants whose positions are currently occupied, Love's captain's spot isn't open, and Hachi was just some high-ranking guy in the kido corps.
Anyway, not quite knowing what Ginjo did is a bit bothersome, and I'm hoping the anime might clear it up a bit when they get to that point. Either Tsukishima fucked with him, prompting him to cut ties with SS or he defected to protect the Fullbringers like some are thinking. Humans with powers don't quite seem to be taboo to SS, though, as the fight with the Quincy started more over philosophical differences (purifying hollow over eradicating) and Ichigo's friends have gone unmolested for the most part. Surely Fullbringers existed beforehand, and given the age of the time dude, was probably known to SS. So, either a Fullbringer did something to a Shinigami, prompting the usual all out retaliatory response of stupidity from the 46, or it's solely related to Ginjo and his defection.
But yeah, fuck 3 weeks.![]()
It's just a phrase
It looks like the whole fullbringer thing has affected Ichigo, particularly by that panel where he says something and the old guy comments on how he thought about the way he wanted to say it beforehand. I guess it'll come up in the next arc and maybe have an impact on motivations etc etc.
Waiiiitt... someone died in Bleach? By Ichigo's hand? What manga am I reading?!
Nobody died. They were sent to the next dimension.
the Home For Infinite Losers
Nobody died, and to be fair once more, they probably wouldn't die even if they were killed.
"You're already dead"
