As per the 11th squad's rules, Yachiru would only interfere if Kenpachi was knocked out or killed. Nnoitora wont defeat him and let him live and I kinda doubt Kenpachi will die here.

I think people check mangahelpers or something dumb. Sometimes a good google of "bleach (issue number here) spoilers" will work. They aren't always right, people make them up for whatever reason... I cheat to get my issue in advance but my method wont work for anyone else.

Except for redshirts, filler arc villains, and people in flashbacks (Ichigo's mother, Kaien, whoever Tousen got his Zanpakuto from, etc.).

And no one (semi-important) will with Orihimme's power. That's the downside of Bleach, there's no real tension as you know the good guys will win. That being said, I'd rather see Kenpachi die than see him with a banki. Him fighting to the death shows more about him than him getting connected to his sword.

Honestly, it's not a problem that you know good guys will win, it's more like "Oh shit, how can he possibly win this, what will he do to ensure he wins? Like Grimmjaw vs Ichigo, you are like "How the fuck is he going to win???"... then you say to yourself "Oh, he's just going to magically keep his mask on for like an hour, ok".

That's the fun part, you can enjoy it and still not know what the hell is going to happen. Even with OP powers like Orihime's rejection you still don't know exactly how things are going to play out. It's not that big a problem imho.

I guess it shows more about the him that we already know about from the other arcs, but that way he stays one-dimensional. It all depends on whether the mangaka wants to expand Kenpachi as character, and how well he can do it without changing Kenpachi too much (or ruining him, depending on who you ask).

Ever seen School Days? Or does Bad End not count? How about Berkerk? Or better yet, Saikano. Nobody wins in Saikano!

I agree with the rest of the post, but not all anime isn't as predictable as an action series like this.

I only read the manga, but if the anime follows it then Near definately "wins". In the epilogue chapter he's giving orders and living a presumably enjoyable life. Although that would make it an even better counterexample than Saikano, because Light is presented as the protagonist the whole time regardless of the confusion about motives and morals.

Yes, he "wins" but not until what, 7+ years have passed of people being killed? Not exactly the best victory...

If you try to look at it that way, Near isn't even introduced until halfway into the series, so his "win/loss tally" can't really start until after Light scores his biggest victories. Each arc has a clear winner, it just isn't the same winner each time. And more importantly (for the argument I was making in the first place), the protagonist ends up losing very thoroughly.

His shikai is already released, kinda like ichigo's where it stays in it's released form always.
