Why does Kubo only kill off the cool characters? Personally I was happy, borderline elated when Hiyori got sliced by Gin and she survives while he doesn't?

Had a funny moment with a friend who loves Bleach and was kinda sad that there was only one arc left supposedly. I told him that Aizen's reveal until now was one arc and that he could expect another 3-8 years of Bleach unless the manga get's yanked and he pulled a complete 180 and said he kinda hopes it does.

Tbh, looks like someone's coming after Hiyori anyway so she might have been ressed just to get smooshed again. I'm guessing this new guy might be a messenger for the surviving arrancar who are getting panicky about the stuff going on (hollows/spirits disappearing)

He doesn't seem like an arrancar, not the kind we've seen at least. He lacks the Spanish motif and distinctly uses a German one. Wonder if he has any relation with hell.

Quincy (just Ishida atm) uses german words/phrases
This is a little bit of a leap, but the majority of the Vizards seem to be "Americanized" portrayals - though the 2 greatest exceptions being Lisa and Mashiro.

Which is why I think he's related to the quincy. Look at these abilities Quincy has, it's heavily German-influenced:

Silber Draht
Licht Regen

Kubo has used a German motif for the Quincy previously, and his name and clothing seem German-inspired too. I've always said that this arc would be about the Quincy - and this just supports that.

It seems the vanishing souls were in Rukongai and not hollows in Karakura town, so I don't think that looks good for the Quincy theory unless Quincies are in Soul Society killing normal souls which doesn't seem likely.

Register to see the NSFW content < Looks like it's hollows and spirits. Considering quincy are pretty good at manipulating the particles spirits are made of (i think? same stuff as the buildings etc?) I don't think it's necessarily ruled out yet.

You're right it was hollows too; however, I find it unlikely that it's a coincidence that spirits and hollows are vanishing at the same time. I don't see a reason for Quincies to destroy normal spirits. Even if they were responsible for it, I don't see them being in Soul Society undetected like that.

What about instead of Quincy with hollow powers, it's hollows with Quincy powers - like Arrancar? You know, Arrancar with Spanish names, and Quarrancar with German names?

Could mean the spirits and hollows are getting "kidnapped" and turned in to Quincy, a la Aizen 2.0? Iunno <.<

It's going to be about the Quincy, but I don't think they will stay the main antagonists for very long.

Haven't looked at this thread in a few days. Damn I can't believe Viz made Mangastream take Bleach and others down. They always would only keep new chapters up for a few weeks. I don't think that's fair.
