I'll say this for Kubo: the guy knows style. Some of the outfits the characters wear in the spreads look like some shit out of GQ, and that Visored hoodie?

Why would Ichigo "play his game"?
I thought it was great that Ichigo was able to analyze and realize what the dude was doing, but after he figures it out, he purposely does what the guy wants him to do?
Sure it worked out for him, but it could have just as easily not have.

Should have had ishida finish his roll, listen to ichigos explanation that he used bankai like the guy was obviously trying to trick him into doing in order to shut the fool up and now he's stuck in a box. Cue Ishida and the rest of the support characters facepalming.

Honestly I couldn't really gather what was going on for some of it, some of the drawings seemed kinda detached from one another. So the big black cross thing came out of his cross and then made some laser shit to try and capture ichigo? Then we get a WHA IMPOSSIBLE speach when he breaks out yeah?

Probably just me failing anyway.

I'm quite surprised they're saying it's all happening in 5 days time, maybe we're not getting the usual giant arcs expected. I'm not sure I care at this point either way, bored of masks now.

Edit: Speaking of masks, it looks like hollow ichigo's probably making a return considering that hoody thing, yet another page with stupid little kid involved so he must be semi-important.

I got the vibe the guy was trying to literally destroy Ichigo's bankai/zanpakutou, and if I interpreted the images right, Ichigo's new little bands were broken as he endured the attack. He did get to bankai, though, as his sword was slimmer and his outfit had changed. In general, new douche just underestimated him.

From what I can understand;
Ichigo goes bankai.
Quincy guy uses the device that makes some giant black cross thing appear. The black cross has four circles of light in it. those circles shoot a bunch of beams at Ichigo and some of those beams hit Ichigo.
The beams turn solid (or already were solid) and trap Ichigo. The Quincy guy gives his "everything with shape vanishes" command it that strats to destroy Ichigo's white bracelet thingies. But then Ichigo destroys the solidified beam things holding him. And Getsuga Tenshos the dude.
Black Getsuga Tensho btw. Doesn't that prove He's still got his hollow? Or no. I don't remember.

and does anyone know what Vanden means in Germen? If it's not a completely made up name or misspelled when translated.
Reich is easy enough, but Vanden doesn't translate into anything and couldn't pick anything up other than people and company names on wiki.

It's not you. Kubo is the fucking worst when it comes to drawing a fight anybody can follow where events make sense and you understand what is going on. Go read a few chapters of a manga that draws fights well (Hajime no Ippo) and then reread this chapter.

I don't know how strong those Vandenreich people think they are, but Yamamoto is arguably the third strongest character in the Bleach universe to this date. We never actually saw him go full power either. What are they going to do pull some Aizen shit and seal his powers again?
