Because it doesn't further the plot and it gives Kubo's fanboys an excuse to say that he kills people.

Except, we wanted Kubo to kill people we care about. Nobody gave a shit about that VC because he only had like 5 panels in the whole fucking manga. They might as well have killed Renji's little friend who we never heard from again.

Shit, I care more about Ganju and Hanataro than the division #1 VC who was one-shotted by Ichigo's bare fist.

She was dead. The two lackeys freaked out because they were scared of the "power of a God" or something like that, in reference to the ability to revive the dead.

It's explained that Orihime has the ability to reject an event out of existence. So you can reject the incident that causes a death, or an injury. She wanted to reject the Hougyouku out of existence. Hell if Ichigo had thought to bring her along, the whole Aizen fight could have been a lot shorter because she could just reject Aizen's existence, or the release he used to hypnotize everyone, or the Hougyouku itself.

It's generic Kubo overpowered something then compensates for it by just misusing it.

Was Ichigo dead after Ulquiorra shot him before his fight with Grimmjow? I can't remember, but for some reason I thought Orihime struggled with healing him then or something.

I've always assumed he died twice, but there's no evidence to support him having been dead. I suppose whether or not Orihime can resurrect the dead is a gray area.

She had trouble healing Ichigo because of his hollow powers interfering if I remember right. Also RIP Chojuiro your entire bleach career was like....3 or 4 panels and in two of them you were being one-shotted. Kubo: "Oh shit I've got to start thinking up releases for all these swords....oooooooooor I could just murder them!"

I'm pretty sure his human self was dead, but his hollow was alive-- this in turn revived him when Orihime couldn't heal him.
