With abilities like this, I wonder how SS can stand a chance. I'd be interested to see if Ichigo has to fight with his human body and use fullbring instead. However that'll probably give us another "Ichigo needs his powers back" arc, which would be stupid and I hope never happens. There's got to be a catch to soaking up everything around because it's rediculous broken.

naruto sage mode comes to mind, absorb to much and it'll destroy you (or in the 6 paths case turn you to stone)

Just to correct you. . . it had nothing to do with the amount. It was in reference to balancing the power.

At least for the moment it seems Kurosaki backed the (fuck it, let's call them Nazi's) Nazi into a corner. He acknowledged the hit to the head being bad. Also not sure who said it, but for supposed Fodder enemy, he's certainly beating this group down. Kurosaki included.

wouldn't overloading yourself with "energy" be a case of not balancing it correctly? i presume even there bodies could only take so much addition energy (i know there "wings" get bigger but they can only get so big til the pressure would crush the user)

I wonder if they used a similar technique (as this one; absorb everything around you) to "lock" the Shinigami Bankai. You know; when they release it, they absorb it in to themselves and add it to their own power, effectively giving them the power to use said Bankai. Perhaps it's specifically targeting the Zanpakuto reisei when it's released. Therefor, absorbing Zanpakutou could be like shigai (sp?), whereas whereas this is like their Bankai.

Could explain why they couldn't do it with Ichigo's in a way, as his "soul" is fused together half-hollow-half-shinigami-half-fullbring (I know...). So in a way; he IS the Bankai.

Iunno, I'm, confused.

Ichigo is different to the standard shinigami in a few ways; he's human, a vizard, he once surpassed bankai and actually became Getsuga, and has a fullbring flavour to his Bankai now. Any of those could be the reason that Arrancar failed to steal his Bankai. We don't know enough about the mechanism, it could be mimicking Wonderweiss for all we know.

Did i miss something as to why the Quincy began to absorb Chad/Orihime when they're human, and as such, are not Reishi? I thought it could only absorb spirit particles...

i didn't really see them getting absorbed. It looked like chad's arms were getting absorbed, where his power manifests itself. orihime just looked like she was amid particles being absorbed around her.

When they first entered the spirit world at the start of the SS arc, Urahara mentioned that only spirit beings could exist there, I can't remember specifically if he did something or if the conversion process was automatic, but they had to be converted into spirit beings while they're over there. So yeah they were being absorbed.

Aye, the senkaimon Urahara uses has something in it that converts humans that can't leave their bodies into spirit beings
