You just know the internet is going to explode when Aizen comes back.
Those chapters back in the Aizen vs Everybody arc were some of my favorite times trolling a series.

Aizen is going to come back and say "see, this is what I was trying to stop. I was trying to stop the quincies all along."
Wouldn't surprise me. Hell the Spirit King could be a quincy hollow- oh
People seriously like these developments?
Yes.
That be a problem?
Not a problem for me, so sir.
Just enjoy whatever is left of Bleach, Kuro.
How long until this guy betrays people and/or dies?

Souj and Kuro are interchangeable for the plotline bitchyness, btw :O
The only terrible plotline so far is still the mass Aizen trolling, which people surprisinglly liked when it was animefied, lol.
I'll write up a long post later. My problems just lie with how obvious Kubo makes it that he's pandering while introducing even more characters instead of working with the ones he has.
For God's sake, kill someone we care about. Have them enter in and kill someone like Ganju or Hanatarou so that the battles are more emotional. Just having a Quincy show up and blow up Kira out of nowhere neither creates suspense nor promotes drama. It reeks of laziness and it's bothersome when people defend it with "lol bitchers be bitching"or "he's doing what you want".
No he's not. When you ask for a steak and get a hamburger you don't say it's okay because beef is beef. You should get a steak, simple as that.
Please tell me you're joking.
There are a ton of fanboy/girls who loved Kira. I spent my morning reading rage post after rage post on forums over these developments, lol.
Also how could you compare Ganju and Hanatarou to Kira? That was grasping at straws, man. Regardless, I have a feeling a ton of people are actually gonna die in this invasion, so we'll just have to see.
It's still relatively the beginning of the freaking arc, of course small fries are going to die first. Kira was popular but he's low on the totem pole of overall characters. Kishi also just introduced three characters that he killed off in the same chapter. The one thing he at least does better then Kishi is that Kubo gave his fodder shinigami names and a small glimpse of personality rather then just being fodder ninja group B that got owned instantly. It's disingenuous to say that he's "adding even more characters."
And the Quincy argument about being "why iz dey strong" is still stupid. Ishida was apparently a weak ass Quincy yet still was a big threat going into the Soul Society arc. One can only imagine what a group of powerful Quincy's invading SS can do.
So yes, people are bitching just to bitch. Nothing so far has retconned/ignored any major plot points.
seriously thought it was Byakuya's grandpa at first. How long until this guy betrays people and/or dies?
I'm just stoked to see shunsui go apeshit with his bankai and unohana to kick some ass. All i care about tbh.
I think the last few chapters have been pretty good. This arc has what the Fullbringer arc was missing. Enemies that are actually a threat.
Why is everyone assuming Kira is dead? We have seen characters who got worse and lived.
Yeah nobody dies in bleach, even with a giant gap on the right side of their body. He'll live with semi-plot kai armor.

I'll try to wait until Aizen breaks/is freed before judging this arc.
I'm not at all worried about the Quincy being strong. I'm over that much already and I accept that it's not really a retcon. Here's some problems with the recent developments:
1) Just because you name a character doesn't make them important nor does it make their death more meaningful. "Writing a personality" is a bullshit cover for "Tried to make them seem important when they aren't". It's really nice that he's taking the time to "flesh out" these "important people" who are really nothing more than cannon fodder. Take the 1st VC, for example. He jobs once, gets a panel in the last arc, then suddenly he's a bad-ass with Bankai and was groomed to be the next Captain Commander. Really? Could have fooled all of us when he was punched out by Ichigo using his bare hands. Yet everyone accepts it and says "Yea well Kubo just never told you about it". You know what? Fuck you. That's what.
2) Just because you have new people come in and blow a hole in someone who had a moment in the last arc doesn't make them awesome. Remember when Grimmjow came and put a hole through Rukia? No? How about when Allon turned Rangiku's tits into Shinigami sushi? Possibly? Or how Komamura's VC was blasted into pieces? Or how the captains had to release their limiters just to stand a chance against Grimmjow's fraccion? You know, the problem with Kubo's storytelling is that he comes up with one clever thing and everyone collectively goes "HOLY FUCK HE'S SUCH A GENIUS". No he isn't. He's a fucking tool. His writing is cliche and he recycles the same fucking panel every two chapters. It's not artistic. It's boring.
3) Predictability. It's fucking sad when your readers know what will happen before you've even written it. Even sadder is when your readers say what will happen and you actually DO it.
4) I will admit this arc is interesting but it's already going in the wrong direction. When I say "bitchers gonna bitch" it's because, well, look - In order to put the Quincies over as a threat Kubo is just having them mow down everyone you currently know to be strong just so he can get to the Royal Guard. This is retarded. It isn't because the Quincy can't genuinely be strong. You already saw what an immature Ishida was able to do to Mayuri. It's because there's no build-up. In typical Kubo fashion he's pandering yet again and rather than acknowledge that his storytelling is shit you choose to go "lol you can't please anyone you ask him to kill someone he does and you complain so he stops killing people and you say he doesn't kill people enough". No. No. No. That's not what this is about at all. It's about:
5) Context. When people say "You always make the shinigami win" they don't mean "Next arc make all the fucking shinigami lose at once to the new guys and have them all die". They mean "You really ought to make the battles more meaningful and have both sides lose people we care about". That's assuming you care about any of the one-dimensional people he kills, like the 1st VC. And no, fleshing them out after they're dead doesn't fucking make them important. It makes them cheap. It means he couldn't think of anything to do with them so he gives them a bullshit backstory after the fact in an effort to make you care about a character you won't even see anymore. When people say "Fuck sake no one ever dies" they don't mean "Kill off this guy right here", they mean "There's nothing to be lost or gain in any of these fights because the result is always the same - nothing is at stake". There's no tension. There's nothing to be lost. So instead of putting something truly at stake and making you think something might go wrong and the heroes might actually lose, Kubo chooses to make it so that either everybody wins (Aizen arc) or everyone loses (current arc).
There is nothing at stake in this battle. You know that in order to make the Quincy seem awesome Kubo is going to have random people beaten/killed/maimed so that when Ichigo and friends get to SS they're all mad and have to find a way to the Royal Realm to save the day. There's nothing wrong with that if it's written correctly. It isn't. That's why it's stupid.
Lastly, I do enjoy Bleach's story. What I don't enjoy is people trying to claim Kubo is a competent, consistent, talented writer when he's not. Could I draw and write a better story? Who the fuck knows? There's only so much belief your brain can suspend before you go "Okay, this is just fucking stupid". My brain's hit that point and by no means does that mean I'm just some stupid whiny bitching jerk-off. It just means this story has lost its shine to me and has passed the point of believably decent content. That doesn't mean you're a fucking tart-wad for continuing to read it. It just means we have a difference of opinion.
That being said, my opinion still is that he's a fucking horrible writer and just because he churns out a decent chapter every once in a while will awesome panels doesn't change that at all. President Bush did some nice meaningful stuff during his 8-year disaster run but that doesn't mean he's not a fucking retard.
You realize the majority of this thread is bitching bout Kuno's writing, right? People know he sucks, they just disagree about him fucking up the last few chapters. Shit has been consistent, and you're complaining that they don't kill anyone off when they (probably) killed off a popular character this chapter.
