I wonder if this follows up at all from Unohana's speculation at the end of the Hueco Mundo/Aizen arc.

She'd supposed that, as powerful as Ichigo's reiatsu was at the time, it wasn't even at half it's potential. Maybe we're seeing that realized against the Quincy?

Enjoyed this death: its about time that we see a fight serious enough to warrant a high-tier person like Kisuke serious enough to interrupt someone else's fight, despite them winning it, just to save time. You rarely see that in manga; it always makes way for the classic "1v1 fight onry unless its to enhance the plot - typically by means of having the side with multiple fighters lose".

If I'm thinking of the same thing, what actually happened was that Ichigo was still worn out from his fight with Ulq. But he was still pretty much at captain level or something, so when he explained that his clothes represent how much power he has left (and he only had like 1 sleeve on or something) he was all. "Holy shit, he could be be more than twice as strong as he is this exact second?"

Just got up on the Bleach anime and at the end of eps 366 i thought "they should just end it here, it would be good ending" with out knowing that in fact it had ended. Surprised they let it end with the Quincy arc now starting up, ya know because Quncies(?) have been the major enemy of Shinigamis.

Part of me wants it back for that arc but i doubt i could stomach all that badong(bad and wrong) filler.
