I feel that the reason most Bleach filler is so awful is because the animators or Bleach aren't allowed/too scared to do their own thing and have the characters do anything which we haven't seen in the manga yet. We've had two whole filler arcs of captains vs themselves (Zanpakuto and clones), neither of which gave us anything enjoyable to watch. Imo The Captain Amagai story was actually pretty good, it introduced some likeable characters, had some decent fight scenes, and most importantly it was better written then anything Kubo has given the reader. The cloned captains arc even had a decent story, it was just buried under fights that were predictable and nobody cared about.

Despite the haters, I'm more inclined to say the reason the anime was pulled was because it'd caught up to the manga yet again. I wasn't exactly a fan of the Amagai arc, nor parts of the Zanpakuto one, but I think the Reigai one was about as close to "getting it right" without the obvious shortening of fights due to budget/episode restraints and way too much time watching Kon.

If this arc is animated in the Winter or something once some more issues have built up, I won't complain. I don't think converting it to movie form will do much justice, but that could also be an excuse for higher animation quality. Either way, I'm sad I lost a weekly download and half the time it seems like Naruto is having a break every 2-3 weeks.

Agreed with Arus, with Bleach done for now at least. I'm down to three animes i watch weekly, so behind on all things anime lol.

I hate to say it but looks like Bleach might actually have a decent arc. Now hopefully we actually get to see some characters that haven't had a chance to use bankais to fight and such.

Ya, I'm pumped up any time Urahara is involved...maybe just a bad translation from the link in the thread but they said his badge was on Urahara and he was underground? Were they talking about under his shop at the gates? I thought he traveled to Hueco Mundo with Ichigo and crew when Ishida said he wasn't going to be able to join them? Also, totally enjoyed the chapter and this arc so far. With about 500 characters and all but Ichigo and his crew pretty under-developed background wise, I totally wouldn't mind seeing people axed off.

...and just a side thought I had re-reading the chapter. If Soul Society spent 100 years looking for Urahara and Yoroichi....don't you guys think the first place they would have thought to look was a place called Urahara shop?

SS was a pretty ass-backwards place before Ichigo and crew showed up. Still was up until Aizen was captured.

Didn't he say the badge was left in Urahara's shop and that when contacting Urahara himself, the communication was fuzzy like it was underground? when in actuality it was fuzy because he was in HM

I read it as the badge was in Urahara's shop with Ichigo's spirit particles leading into Hueco Mundo. Therefore telling them Ichigo was in HM and that Urahara was with him, so they contacted Urahara instead.

Looked like his sword was in Shikai so I'd say that's the most logical. Uruhara could have easily used Kido too but I'm guessing they would have had him call the name out as per usual.

For those that paid attention, this chapter is very underwhelming with information you should know. At least it's gotten out of the way now so when it's relayed to the other captains it'll simply be offscreened (I.E - Kubo just showing facial reactions). But it does give me hope they will be doing something special for chapter 500.
