I think that smart money is on Grimjoww or Aizen. However, I would like to see the dark horse odds on Gin.
it was the butler in the conservatory with the candlestick
Hollow Ichigo. It's setup just like in Hueco Mundo when he went apeshite, he's listening to everyone cry for his help, he feels powerless etc. At least I'm hoping ;/
Man, fuck hollow Ichigo! There, I said it. Shit's old, shit's resolved, let it the fuck go.
Tensa Zangetsu doesn't even look like that, so why would it be hollow ichigo?
I think someone missed what happened in the hyperbolic time chamber and the whole point of gaining access to FGT.
So, is this shit decent again? Serious question. I'm at the beginning of this latest arc.
Ichigo's sister's, was secretly training with the Dad they will also have hollow abilities as well. Watch and wait....

If some inkling of his power remained, we wouldn't have needed the Fullbringer arc. He could've theoretically been just this swordless dude with a mask who could punch stuff really hard. Zangetsu and Hollow Ichigo fused, basically describing themselves as two side of the same coin with his powers and were so all along. They all came to terms with a hint of why Ichigo's sadness flooded the inner world and all the emotional mumbo jumbo tying back to Zangetsu hating rain.
If the Arrancar arc taught us anything, it's perhaps that all shinigami have the potential for hollow powers just as hollow have the potential for shinigami powers. After all, both share origins in human souls. The vizard were rather forcefully subjected to that truth, just as Aizen transformed VLs and other high end hollow. Ichigo's position is overall unique, and getting the blanks filled in on Isshin could help here, but he basically had access to both sides from the start. It just took Byakuya kicking his ass to draw out Zangetsu's self-preservation instinct (note why they didn't wanna teach FGT initially) on a bit of a homicidal scale. And if we want to play on the king and its horse metaphor, some would argue a king should be willing to sacrifice himself for his people. And that's pretty much what Ichigo came to them to do because it needed to be done to stop Aizen.
Right now, we have nothing to tell us about the state of Ichigo's inner world or how everyone else's energy came to influence Zangetsu. Visually, we know the sword and his outfit have changed, but not the spirit. I think it'd be a silly regression for the above to have happened, just for HI to go lolno and invalidate Ichigo's personal progress when he's only being mentally taxed right now by hearing what's going on in the war. HI showing up arguably needs the physical component, too... like being near death. And he's just in a cage.
Assuming no totally left field shit, the only "reasonable" people left have pretty much been mentioned. Grimmy's the only one I could see attacking Urahara. Yammy (0), Aaeoniero (10), Szayel (8), Zommari (7), Ulquiorra (4), and Nnoitora (5) should be dead. Halibel (3) is captured. Barragan (2) is dead. If Stark (1) is alive, he went into hiding, and would be the only other alternative. I don't think him aggressive enough to go for Urahara, though. Just like Nel shouldn't. If it is Grimmy, they have to somehow justify him going above at least Halibel's level since this dude's not the Last Boss of the quincy army. I'm in agreement with some others in that Ashido turning up could be a nice touch, but he also shouldn't have a reason to attack Urahara even though I don't think he should know him. Gin could maybe work, at best justifying it by trying to keep it a secret he's still alive, but maybe a bit odd for him to be in HM.
Oh well, we'll see next week.
I kind of took Ichigo during the Fullbring arc from a different perspective. Meaning that he still had some of the power, it just took someone putting his family and friends in harm for him to want to search for that power again. Urahara and everyone else felt contempt that Ichigo should try to live as normal life as possible after saving Soul Society from Aizen. Giving them a reason to "go along" with Ichigo thinking that he no longer had any powers left. I know that leaves the plot hole of why can't he see Rukia etc, maybe his power level was just too low for the time being/too far suppressed.
Basically the whole idea is just based off Ichigo's inner will to want to try and be everyone's hero and he will stop and nothing to protect those near to him. I know it's a very slim chance for him to of transformed into a hollow, I just couldn't see anyone else fitting the role of what just happened. Like you said there's very few people who even fit the category (that are still alive) but hey who knows lol.
Ooh. I think you could be right. Take a close look at the page again:
He is suddenly stabbed or something then Urahara sees what happened. Then in the third panel you see the drawing effect of all the lines pointed toward him with the white space surrounding him. In manga this is usually done when an object is coming toward someone fast. Now Kirge was standing facing Urahara at a distance. (important) Now I dought the attacker could stab him and then in an instant have his sword right next to Urahara's face. That is except for one person..
It's a weird angle, though. If playing on the blade is coming at him, we're led to believe it's below. Though on the close up, it's angling down like they're standing in front of him at that point.
True, but characters in Bleach have been shown to be standing in mid air sometimes. Gin could have been floating (or however the fuck they do it) in mid air and released his shikai and stabbed him. His sword went through Kirge and stopped right next to Urahara's face. It would fit with Gin's style too. I could see him making a quip about it.
That's what I hope would happen anyway. /sigh
It's Kenpachi's Bankai. He set it loose to roam in Hueco Mundo and forgot he left it there so he assumes it stopped talking to him.
As long as it has big tits, I'm okay with that.
Konoji is the Spirit King. He spent time in the world a la Dogma, then hit his head and forgot who he was and what he was capable of. He then awakened to a very minor level of spirit power that he can use without prior knowledge of techniques and decided to become a TV star.
