Vegeta only has badass status because we were all in love with his Sasuke "don't give a fuck attitude" watching that shit as youngsters. In reality he took as many losses as wins (if not more), some of those losses a direct result of that shitty attitude.

About the only times he was genuinely badass was his introduction when we were all in awe of the little guy giving Nappa orders before he stepped in to wipe the floor with everyone, and when he introduced his Super Saiyan powers followed by a schooling of the first two androids.

It's true though, Vegeta was that nigga. Goku/Gohan were always a bitch about everything and wanted to eat cupcakes and shit instead of finishing off their opponents. Future Trunks kind of developed the same mentality but bitch made current time-line Trunks didn't.
