I kinda wanna see that too, I felt the reader was robbed of seeing him do much actual fighting due to the nature of Kyoka Suigetsu, we just saw him troll face everyone and pop out the occasional lvl99 Kido. Even the one fight he did have with Isshin was mostly off-screened so that Ichigo vs Gin got some action in.

He also probably had more knowledge than anyone about the 0 Division other than the old man. Would be much more interesting with him in the mix.

I like how Bach was all like "Yama dead, lets bounce and regroup before zero squad shows up!" Shows unlike the Gotei 13, they take them seriously.

Could be down to a complete lack of intel on zero squad, since their intel has given them an advantage so far.

Still if Bach could one shot Yama without Vollstandig or Zanka no Tachi, yet still has reason to be weary, then we can pretty much say for certain that zero squad consists of Dwayne Johnson tier Shinigami (or that Dwayne Johnson is actually a member of the squad).

I figured Yama would be around the level of the Zero Squad, but if they're miles above him, I'll be pretty disappointed...

Or they'll just end up like the Vaizard did during the Fake Karakura ark -- hyped from here to tomorrow, take out a bunch of scrubs who were giving the captains trouble, and then get killed by the big boss in preparation for Ichigo's arrival.

I'm guessing normal fodder-fighters in zero is captain level.

I'm still wondering who the other three battle potentials are, if Yama wasn't one.

As for Unohana; we can't know if she was part of the originals a thousand years ago. All we know is that she has been a captain for over 309 years.

That being said, I personally believe Unohana might have been one of the originals. Everyone fears her, and she seem to dislike and distance herself from her sword.

Also; if she was one of the originals, she must be damn strong. Wasn't it said that the stronger their Reiatsu is, the slower they age? Considering Yama aged a lot, and she barely aged any at all...

Well Ukitake and Shunsui both consider her their elder, so that kind of implies she was one of the original founding members, since the two of them were.

Random curiosity, but i'm guessing the eye shown in the upper left of page 5 is supposed to be Ukitake? Seemed odd to me Shunsui was the only one to call out when you-know-what happened and Ukitake didn't.

I want it to be the second one so bad. Shunsui is the most laid back guy in the entire show, seeing him mad + at full power would be amazing. Ukitake's cancerAIDslupus is far too progressed to pull it off for extended periods.
