    - Ichigo starts to lose to Bach, because he’s tired from being trapped.
    - Unohana steps in and saves Ichigo.
    - Bach laughs and moves to release Yama-ji’s bankai.
    - Zero squad entry interrupts the release.
    - Bach flees not having planned for engaging zero squad like this.

    I doubt a bunch of pissed off soldiers have some kind of spirit equivalent to Geneva Conventions. Medics are targets too. And while Unohana may be the best amongst them, I wouldn't be surprised if the SRs weren't instructed specifically to focus on her if they see her to keep her from helping other potent fighters.

    The only problem is.. In that chapter where Yama had released his bankai it showed her and Isane sitting in their barracks doing absolutely nothing. They weren't being attacked.
