If Ichigo's father is a shinigami, which are technically dead beings, and his mother was quincy/human, which would mean she was a living being at the time she gave birth to Yuzu and Karin. Would that make Ichigo, Karin, and Yuzu technically living-dead beings, or am I looking too much into that? Also, with two supposedly spiritually aware parents, Yuzu seems like a pretty odd member of the family

In regards to the latest chapter, Bach seemed creepishly happy to have a chance to kill Ichigo

I think Quincy techniques are learned and not inherited. We've already seen Arrancars that could use Quincy techniques. Royd and Loyd were seemingly born with their powers, but these aren't necessarily Quincy techniques since the Stern Ritters all seem to have unique abilities that aren't included with the standard Quincy techniques. The Stern Ritters were most likely Fullbringers or something similar before being taught how to be Quincies, and that's why they have unique abilities in addition to the standard Quincy abilities. If this is the case, the only requirement for being a Quincy would actually being spirtually aware. Kubo could really tie in the whole Fullbringer arc if some of the Stern Ritters do in fact possess Fullbring.
