Now that I look at it, he resembles him pretty well. Good foreshadowing on Kubo's part (as if it wasn't foreshadowed enough during the Arrancar arc).

Bach looks like Zangestu's older look too
It's all just more Kubullshit that he's pulling out of his ass. I still don't believe the dude is doing anything other than planning maybe a week in advance. I've been in too many tabletop campaigns where the person takes randomly small insignificant events and makes them seem important. The reason it's more obvious is because they keep add more and more elements to the story without tying up a lot of loose ends.
BAWWWWW,
enjoy it for what it is. I, for one, look forward to seeing how he explains Ichigo's mother, since she's been an enigma to us all.
Everyone looks like everyone in Bleach, though. Either they're the classic Japanese "sharp features" look, or the big-lipped "nigra features" look.
That just comes from the same guy drawing everyone the same way. Its like saying Yammi looks like Charlotte Coolhorn because both have nigga lips and a surly expression when mad.
It's possible to save a bunch of time and money drawing all your characters with this model isn't it?
Hard to say, Kubo's art style has changed drastically over the years.
If it is, I won't be upset or anything, but Kubo draws like Kubo. So many of his characters look similar, but in defense, I can only imagine drawing some 300+ characters completely different, especially if I have a singular style that I enjoy (or I an only draw in that style well).
Drawing faces is probably one of the hardest aspects of drawing people with hands certainly a close runner up. I think there's more distinction than some would like to give credit for, but the fact it's also anime detracts a bit from true realism. Still, I'd say Kubo also tries to be realistic more often than cartoony, which I think is a good thing.
you know I fucking was thinking about this being the case for a long while. And I was like nah that can't be because this would mean that his mom being a quincy died to a hollow that was super weak. Kubo I hate you
Well, Grand Fisher was allegedly a high ranking notorious Hollow. Probably a bad example of power creep downplaying any potential his mother had given his "experimental" evolution to an arrancar, but it's also possible she needn't be some super Quincy just to unlock the potential within Ichigo. But hopefully we'll find out more sooner rather than later.
I would assume the same thing that happened to Isshin with his powers being wiped away happened to Ichigo's Mom. Old man stripped Isshin of his powers and Bach stripped Ichigo's Mom of her powers.
Low level hollow comes along and one shots Ichigo's Mom because she killed one of his friends while she was a Quincy.
Yeah, I've entertained the possibility she lost her powers, too. Hell, we he have precedent with the glove Uryuu used on Mayuri.

My brain is full of wut. I guess Ichigo really is half everything. Dat kubo-writing.
Just imagine in what kind of a gang bang his mother had to be in
