    Lame. Way to undo chapter's worth of story progress lol. Seems like the Espada arc again except that these people are genuinely powerful and somehow manage to only take out one captain. What the hell was the alphabet army doing? Sitting on their asses weaving Reiatsu?

    Part of me wants to look at it and hope that since the two practically did die, it might lead to some character growth, generally deviating from both their inflated senses of pride. How that translates for Byakuya is harder than Kenny, who's basically got that whole "maybe learn his zanpakutou's name" thing hanging.

    Kubo really needs to learn how to kill off characters, especially when they die.


    And as for Kenpachi - I just took away from it that Kubo has no idea how Kenpachi wouldn't just wreck all of those Quincy's shit, so he just put him in a coma for an undetermined amount of time.
