And, if I remember correctly, when Isshin used his Getsuga, his energy was blue too, so Ichigo isn't the only one (although that has happened in the last 3 years).

Still, I support the Steins;Gate reference.

I strongly disagree. I'm glad Byakuya is alive. My reason being it would affect Rukia to badly. I could see her being seriously depressed to the point that she couldn't even do her job. She looks up to him so much and it would just be kinda a downer to see her so sad.

Kenpachi too. Just cause I wouldn't want to hear the shitstorm that would cause.

^ I would be fine with this. Renji should take his place anyway. During the time skip he did all that training and it was implied he has gotten a lot stronger. His reiatsu should be at captain level now.

I don't think it was ever directly stated. If you wanted to go in a roundabout way you could say that because he achieved bankai and every captain with the exception of Kenpachi has achieved bankai his spirit energy is of captain class

Ikkaku would never take Zaraki's place, it was mentioned when Renji tried to get him to be his captain. Whereever zaraki goes, he will "fight and die as Kenpachi's subordinate".

Besides, Zaraki being permanently sidelined by a bitch-ass Quincy? Please.

He can write it out however he wants, can't expect the manga go through all the real world implications of someone dying. Besides, it could make rukia go mad/badass and unlock a giant white ice bankai, oh wait, she's a girl in a shonen lolnvm.

yeah, Chad is Krillin.
Renji I think would be Yamcha. Because Renji used to be a bad guy and used to be at least a little bit of a badass, but now is just useless.
Ishida would be Piccolo
Inoue would be Tien because while she is useless most of the time, she does occasionally still pull out moments of usefulness.
Motherfuckin Tribeam.
Rukia can be choutsu. not really sure how to spell that name...
