Kubo is a legend
If we don't see her Bankai my rage is going to be special
This chapter is mindfucking me so hard with character development holy shit
Spoiler: show
Wuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutttttttt tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt ttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.
Kenpachi.
Is.
That.
Nigga.
It looks like Kubo just covered the supposed plothole with Kenpachi getting beat by Shikai Ichigo and then him beating Nnoitra.
You can't even call those fights plotholes, mang.
Kubo always left those fights ambiguous. Fight vs Ichigo was definitely questionable. I remember back during Ichigo's victory and Nnoitra's defeat people on chat forums would question if they were a "real" victories. Only the fight vs Royd LLyod was an "oh shit, Kenpachi got raped" moment.
And this chapter single handedly pronounced Kenpachi as the "strongest" shinigami in soul society. Based Kenpachi too based.
I always considered the fight with Ichigo to be explainable anyway.
Zangetsu gave him ALL of his power for one attack. Every last little fuckin' bit of it. That's a lot of power. Ichigo took until right around FGT to completely get access to all of that at will. There's no surprise to me at all that he was able to KO Kenpachi.
FGT was his combined Shinigami and Horrow power. His full Zangetsu power may as well be compared to Bankai. That said, this chapter clearly makes the any FGT explanation look lame anyways.

The reality is that power levels are ALL kinds of fucked up in this series.
We have no idea how to classify people at this point because of the whole "transcendent being" nonsense with Aizen and FGT Ichigo.
If we want a new plot hole to consider, where'd a poor kid on the outskirts of Rukongai get a zanpakuto? "Oh, he just killed some shinigami grunt..."
His "shackles" being some sub-conscious urge to hold himself back to find a good fight isn't all that surprising. However, I don't think removing those really helps his one dimensionality as a character. I'd honestly rather see him humbled by Unohana kicking his ass and seek to learn new techniques instead of riding on bloodlust.
Derble~
I haven't had this much fun reading bleach in a long time. Unshackled zaraki is going to be completely fucking scary.
In this case, I wonder if him being one-dimensional is really all that bad. Part of the charm of watching zaraki do his thing is the fact that he is just this all-consuming mass of power. When he walks on page, you know shit is going to go down. There's plenty of characters with more depth to them, zaraki being pretty one-dimentional is kind of a nice change imo.
It also confuses me a bit for implying that when Ichigo near-killed him he was at quite a low level, sort of makes you wonder why he was a captain at that point if he was so severely limiting himself.
W/e, chapter was neat
Cause Nigga is so beastly that even while limiting himself he is better then 95% of Soul Society.
Imagine that, Kenpachi as a kid was stronger than Unohana.
MY MOTHER FUCKING NIGGA
